As some of you know i got my Xbox 360 last sunday, bought NHL 07, PGR3, Halo 2 and Lego Star Wars II and have been loving it ever since, but now i have learned that November (which comes before December yippie!), will have a ton of 360 games to be released that i want.

Here's the list of it and reasons

- Call of Duty 3 ; Dude its CoD you can't go wrong with CoD

- F.E.A.R ; Cause i've wanted it so badly but my PC is crappy, so luckly me it comes out for 360 !lol

- Tony Hawk Project 8 ; Don't know why, but i really like the look of this game, haven't play the TH games since TH3, but this one might get me hooked all over again.

- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas ; well it looks kick a** good and awesome teammate AI

Gears of War ; duh, this is a no brainer, its GoW, UE3 come on people, what more could you ask for, they have a bloody machine gun with a chainsaw underneath it.

And on the PC side theirs

- Medieval 2 Total War ; like Rome total war, but better! can't go wrong with 1000's of men on screen killing eachother, only thing that sucks is their still no naval combat, oh well maybe next game.

and in October theirs

- Age of Empires 3: The Warchiefs ; 3 new civs, all of which are totally different from the european civs, plus you have aztecs, which just rocks!

Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption ; you can bomb planets, use yoda or luke, theirs the b wings and whole new 3rd civ. its gonna be awesome!

As i said, i think that my head may explode after (and or before) the holiday season, cause of all the awesome games coming out, and i think i'll be broke by the end of it. :D

Anyways, those are some of the games i'm looking forward to in the next few months, so what abuot you? feel free to use this thread to yak up stuff on new games coming out in the next few months. Also i highly suggust you go buy a Xbox 360 with or without Xbox Live, you'll be glad you did. And has anyone tried Dead Rsing? If so could you tell me if it was good, since i'm thinking of buying it in a awhile.

I'm not much for buying games either.
Are you talking about a sequal to the Medieval Total War that's already out, or are you referencing the one out already? I have it and it is pretty darn fun!
Lego Star Wars II is awesome too. We bought it for PC thinking that co-op would be on different computers, but unfortunately, its not. But we still worked something out so its not too bad one one computer.

Nope, never played rome yet, but I plan on getting it some time.

Yeah, games expensive. Cost lots of time too... Most fo those sound cool...

A real skateboard probably costs less than Tony Horsk ... game...

huh, what next... Lego Star Wars... trying to think of diplomatic response... failing... voice says "just walk away"

I'm confused, how is November supposed to kill you?
And FEAR would work fine on your PC, it does for my dad's FX 5200.

#1: so many games

#2: it worked, but i like detail and stuff and in F.E.A.R you really need to play it like it was mean't to.

Yeah, but even today's computer only get average 60 - 65 FPS average on absolute max settings, so the XBox 360 version probably has noticable graphics quality reduction.

It is a great game none the less, FPS players won't regret buying it.

yeah well mines 3 years old and full of stupid spyware (not a ton but the stupid stuff that you can see from the Ctrl alt del processes, and those never show up in spyware removers).

i know i should have gotten it for the PC, but its to good of a offer not to get it for my 360 when it will have full detail and textures and stuff unlike it would have on my PC DX8 or 7 would render it.

Author:  Bjossi [ Tue Oct 03, 2006 2:23 pm ]
Post subject:  November might just kill me

Why don't you just delete the spyware manually then? If they show up in task manager, it means they are EXE files most likely located in WINDOWS\system32. But you are pretty much screwed if those files reappear, because there are endless ways possible to do that.

If you enable DX8 effects, it'd run fine on the FX line-up of cards. You won't see FEAR in absolute full detail, but the 512 Mb GDDR3 memory of the 360 will give you max texture resolution that the game has to offer.

Author:  Mr.UglyPants [ Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:36 pm ]
Post subject:  November might just kill me

okay, i'll see about those stupid spyware files.

Oh and does anyone think that CoD3 has been rushed out? Cause it took at least 3 years from CoD to CoD2 (i think) and has only taken about less than two years for CoD3. I sure hope they don't ruin the game by rushing it out beofre the holidays.

Author:  Bjossi [ Wed Oct 04, 2006 8:22 am ]
Post subject:  November might just kill me

That is definitely rushing, EA Games are known for that, since 99% of their non-sports games are utter crap.

Post subject:  November might just kill me

like a toliet filled to brim and overflowing with crap, piss with a deadly smell that could kill someone and a few dead rats and fish on the crap covered floor.

Now that is a great example of EA Games, a company so full of sh*t that it sells its own sh*t to its employees.

God i hate EA Games!

okay enough with the ranting, i never would have thought activision would rush a CoD game, well i guess times are changing !sad

Timesplitters 3 is good. Although they did take over the series, and that's the only one they made in the series. First 2 were made by Free Radical.

Well onto something much cooler, i'm really looking forward to AoE3 The Warchiefs, i just can't wait to shred up the sea with ironclades and the land with a horde of Aztecs! AoE3 was amazing to me. I find it really awesome that their is gonna be 3 totally unqiue civs, all totally different from eachother and everyone else, like the sioux, their totally depedent on calvary and rushes, then the iroquious, who are the middlemen (natives) who have everything like horses and seige weapons, and the Aztecs who are entirely infantry based but even cooler is that they have two differernt barracks for their infantry. Its gonna be so awesome, i just can't wait for it.

Even better is that their are 25 new cards for the europeans and a ton for the natives, but whats cool about the 25 new euro cards is that you can with your old Home cities form AoE3, you can once Warchiefs is installed can totally redo your old decks form your old HC's using old and new cards. Now that is cool.

Its really awesome, Xfire says i've played like 168 hours or something of AoE3 and in that time (plus maybe 30 hours when the xfire wouldn't connect cause interent was down) i have completed the campaigne twice and have 2 HCs' at level 20 or above and the rest between 19 and 0. So that means when Warchiefs come out i'll be playing a ton and i mean a ton of it gonna play so much my brain will implode :D

Does anyone ever play RTS's online? I have never done except LAN with my friends at school (playing C&C G), i never got into it, and yes i know i should but i find that it odd, cause i love just letting my enemy think he's winning for a long time ie 40 minutes into the game, then distroying him, and poeple online don't find that great, though it is a stratedgy (turtling). Also i don't like playing my skirshmish matches in hour intervals and stuff, cause most of the time i'll have to leave half way through the game and such or just get interrupted. Also you get saves in SP, not in MP. But dont' get me wrong online is awesome, i just don't like it on RTS but it rocks for FPS's (excpt for UT2k4).

You know, just yesterday I gave the AoE 3 demo a try, the graphics are fantastic, but the gameplay is so different from AoE 1 which I am used to. Is there a guide or a manual where I can learn all the new stuff? Before I buy the game I want to at least master the demo so I am ready for the campaign in it's whole image.

well try google first, and if that doesn't work just put in AoE3 gameplay guide or just look at ign.com or gamespy.com

I'll try to help a bit

The big differences in AoE3 are from other AoE games are

Your villagers don't need to drop off their resources to drop off buildings for the resource to be counted, it just gets added onces you collect it.

Units like musketeers and calavey can be built in groups of up to five, so you can pay for say 5 calvary and then once its been created, all 5 come out instead of having 1 calvary come out 1 at a time, but you can if you have low resources just create 1 or 2 units or 3 or 4, all depends on what you need.

You have HC (HomeCity) for every civ(Like for Germany i have a HC called Berlin) , it acts like your well homecity, from it you buy cards to use ingame (will go into detail latter). the HC holds your civs unquce deck of cards. you get cards by earning experiance points while playing in skrismish games (or online), like killing enemy soldeirs, builing buildings, building soldeirs or killing guardians. At the end of skirmish games your HC will level up or just gain more experiance points from the battle, if it levels up you can buy cards or just change stuff in it like the buildings color or add civilians.

YOu have a Explorer which acts like a hero unit, if he is killed he falls down, and won't get up unless you have one of our units close-by and he has recovered 100 or over hp. he can collect treasures, these treasures are guarded by guardians, you must kill these guardians to collect the treasure, these treasures can be anything from different amounts of reasources to units or experiance points or and upgrade to your units like +20% armor bonus to meele units, that kinda stuff.

Decks; decks are of important use in the game, you ship these cards from you HC which are used on the map for your team. every shipment (round for a card) has a certain level of experiance you need to get to get the shipment to send a card. The cards can be anything from unlimited/ 1 per game resources, units or upgrades to units and or your civs unique units.

I hope this helps Bjossi, i alw, ays have time for someone who wants to get into a RTS (except Starcraft). If i have lefted anything unanswered or you just want to ask a question just post it.

great, now after all this is really want to play AoE3 again and the Warchiefs... just what i needed, ah well better waste the weekend on them and play Lego Star Wars now!

Thanks for the tips, I didn't expect such detail. :)
I have very good experience with AoE 1 so at least I have a background knowledge to RTSs, but this one looks like a vast improvement in both gameplay flexibility and graphics.

I'll just practice with the demo and then buy the full game when I've mastered it. 8)

Its my job (not really but a job of all RTSers)

one thing i love about AoE3 from the other games is the stradegy (not saying the others had none they had tones) but AoE3 has added a ton of depth from the cards and it has a bt quicker gameplay.

Also just to tell, when you get AoE3 take some pictures of it on full detail (like cannon vs infantry, calvary, building and just plain combat + ships), i would really like to see what it looks like (should post it on your picture thread... make it even bigger, i think that thread beat mine).

And with patch 1.07 (AoE3), the barracks and stables cost 200 wood instead of 250 and 300 respecfully.
