In unreal ed when i goto right click i cant. The screen freezes for a sec then goes normal but it wont let me right click at all. I always use unreal ed and this happened before. But when it happened before i had to uninstall Ut and install it again to fix it. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this (without uninstalling) and if any of you map makers might have run into this problem.

EDIT: Nevermind for some reason it works again. Sorry for this waste of space

Well since im a beginner I was working on movers and texture painting. Ive got movers down but texture painting is taking some time. I can imagine a war torn terrain but when I try it on unreal ed it looks like crap...so hopefully ill get it right one of these days and release a map thats not confined to indoors :D

a well, it will be alot better to work with when UT2k7 comes out, models will be better, along with textures.

They will be higher quality visually, but who knows if the older ones will look better from another persepective? Those ugly, big ass armors on the UT2007 characters make me wonder...

Yeah, UT2007 models probably gonna be fugly, just like the current ones are. But who cares, that's what custom content is for! For 2K7 I actually plan to sponsor a model or two, and if all goes well they'll look good enough to eat. At least twice the polycount of the default models, and a lot less armor. ;)

I'm not gonna be able to run UT2007 as of now. I'm getting a Nvidia 6600 pci-e this Christmas and I'm hoping it will fix my current performance problems but even with the new graphics card I probably still wont be able to play UT2007

It is 99.9% likely that you'll be able to play it, but the question is how well.

Yea I'm hoping around medium/low range. As long as I can play with at least 20 fps thats fine with me. With my current Pc I cant hit 30 fps with all low graphics (in ut04) so an upgrade will be nice !lol

I get ten times more FPS than you get, and I use maximum settings. You can probably buy a computer for $75 that runs the game very nicely.

For UT2007, you shouldn't expect being able to higher than low settings with quite a bit of lag, with a 6600 GT that is.

Your breaking my heart man :((

What would you advise for graphic card upgrades (PCI-express) for less than 200 dollars?
Because the 6600 im buying is on sale and is $149.99

That is very expensive for such an old card. NewEgg offers Geforce 7600 GTs for down to $120.

Methinks I'll be getting an upgrade soon, in that case. ;)

Keep in mind 7600 GT is between medium & high-end, not totally high end like the 7900/8800s. But it is definitely more bang for the buck than a lame 6600 GT for $20 more. ;)

Yeah, it'll still e an upgrade for me. Between medium and highend is pretty dang good if you ask me. ;)

Can you give me a link to the 7600.....and is it pci express?

Author:  Bjossi [ Sat Nov 18, 2006 11:07 am ]
Post subject:  Help with unreal ed

It is PCIx only afaik, so don't worry about that. :)

Just go to NewEgg.com and search for 'geforce 7600 gt', you'll get many manufacturers. Reputable ones are eVGA, Gainward, BFG Tech, MSI, and many others.

By all means post a link if you find an ATi card that is better than a 7600 for the same price or even cheaper. 8)

what no, i mean if Nvidia made the cards shouldn't every Nvidia card be manufactured by them and not by these other companies like BFG, wouldn't the quality go down or something... or do i have this all wrong?
