Dunno if I spelled it good or anything. But my idea is to make something with UT2004 that is like Red Alert or Age Of Empires. But with some few changes to the gameplay. There are teams you can join. Each team has players (duh) one of them can be the commander. He is the one that moves AI pawns and builds structures. The other players in the team are just player soldiers. The players soldiers can earn money by destroying/killing hostiles, help the builders or get cash from commander. With this cash they can buy better weapons and better armor. The commander builds structures, sets the research, trains AI pawns, controls AI pawns, give players some objectives and stuff. The commander can order Pawns the things already in UT2004. So if you say 'Attack' they will attack and you can let them go their way. Or you can put in the special order. Follow Commander. So you must move them around, they wont walk on their own. The AI Pawns would be in some different groups. You got the workers, unarmed pawns that can build stuff and harvest resources. You got light marines, pawns with LinkGuns or Shockrifle. You got Heavy marines, pawns with 50 shield and rocketlauncher or minigun or flakcannon. You got Snipers, normal pawns that keep distance from hostiles and camp where you put them. Sniper Rifle or Lightning Gun. Vehicles will be fun too. The commander can tell a pawn to enter a vehicle, or a player can hop into one. If a player is in a vehicle, it gets a little boost in armor and weapons. To make players stronger then cheap AI. So you can drive Scorpions, Hellbenders (More people in it), Tanks, Manta's, SPMA. And you can fly Raptors, Cicada's. The favorite and very very expensive vehicle will be the leviathan. The commander must tell it where to move and when it needs to deploy. Another fun thing is different races. We already have humans, juggernauts, skaarj, robots. So each of them have their own race with their own buildings and specialitys. Also different technologies. But maybe this thing should wait for UT2007. More vehicles, better graphics. And make it possible to switch the normal weapons, to BW weapons
So you fight with Ballistic Weapons in this game. |

You know, I like this idea a lot. Maybe use the same system as in AoE 1, one character has each of their own abilities and arsenal. Such as villagers could be the osama bin laden model, and cavalry would be Malcolm sitting on top of a scorpion.

This a good idea however you need to see what others have done in this line, I have not seen a good RTS come out of UE2, but we can try. Look up unskjar and UA |

as long as its not third person over the top view like all RTS's...maybe something like the multiplay in c&c renegade...now that was awesome, with the separate buildings and the purchasable weapons, the harvester to make money, and the usable vehicles |

AoE3 isn't that bad too. Anyways. I don't think all people understand what I mean. I mean that one player from a team (commander) is able to command stuff like you do in Red Alert. Then the others in that team are just soldiers, like in ONS. |
