The Wii totally pwned the PS3, the ever second since launch til the 29 of november a Wii has been sold on Ebay, don't no the prices but still thats crazy. while the PS3 is being sold on Ebay for like 4000 to 6000 US. |

Yeah, gotta hand it to Nintendo, they might not have the prettiest graphics (actually, GameCube was superior in graphics to PS2) but they keep it original. Like the Xbox 360, the PS3 is nothing more than a prettier version of its older one, nothing new whatsoever. The Wii on the other hand, offers new controls and a virtual library of classic games for the downloading. Plus, y'know, any system with a controller named the Nunchuk is alright by me.

Yeah, same here. Its just that I'm interested in more involving ways to control games, and I think the Wii falls into that category. Of course, I'd much rather have the Wii controllers for my PC instead. I'll have to look into that... |

My oppion is screw the x360 and PS3 IF your sole reason for doing it is ( thevery likly) 1337 gr4f1x you should with a gameing PC not you can install an HDDVD or Blue ray drive and not worry about what one will win the next gen media war as well as get better grafics and a libary of about 450-700 steller games for every genre (thats 450 per genre not 150 good games total) and you can use it too play Movies MP3s (acctuly pretty much every music type) literly ballance your checkbook surf the web AND set your clcoks to the officle goverment time (time.gov) so yeah... |

If they ever remake DuckHunt, i might just go so insane that'll i'll buy the Wii, just for DuckHunt. I played that game at my friends house ages ago, i think we played once for 16 hours or so non-stop, but that was just when it was released

The Wii doesn't interest me because endless Mario and Zelda sequels are getting old. Move on Nintendo, please. And as I said, why put PS2 there? I mean, the XBox 360 and Wii are there, why put an ancient piece of garbage into the crowd? At least put a modern piece of garbage like the PS3 instead. |

For the simple reason that there has been no advertising for it in our part of the planet. It hasn't been released yet in deepest darkest africa! |

Well, it should be easy enough to make a controller --or better yet, a kind of body suit-- that zaps you (like a stun gun) every time you get hit. If your character gets hit in the right thigh, so do you. If he gets shot in the left shoulder, ditto. If he gets whacked in the sack... you get the picture. Duration and intensity of shocks would depend on the severity of the hit (more in-game damage = more pain) and on the difficulty level. Mild shocks for n00bs, brutal zappings for hardcore players. There could also be nice (vibrating, or whatever) rewards for the winner(s).
Of course you could also use this kind of tech for paintball matches, (plastic) sword fighting etc. Could be fun!

Actually, RedShift, there already is sometihng made that us much more sophisticated than what you describe. For example, one person hooked up to it threw a punch, and someone else hooked up to it in a completely different room was actually knocked back by the impact, that is, if that person was hit in the shoulder, his/her shoulder would've got knocked back. It isn't released to the public yet, though... Pretty cool if you ask me.
