2010 is also when the splinter cell movie is supposed to come out...if it doesnt get cancelled...its already been delayed significantly...but heres hoping as far as best years 1999 was the best all that panic over y2k...and all i did was sit at the comp playing games just waiting to yell "i told you so" |

Naa...2006 was a terrible year for me (except for a couple of highlights), so I'm sure 2007 will be better...besides its a "007" year

Yep; 2007 is gonna rock; BioShock, (hopefully) Crysis, HalfLife 2 Ep2, the R600 graphics card from ATi.

You know, I bet you could easily play UT2007 with a PC that is older. You just set the settings to what you did for UT2004, and it will probably work. I mean, it's not like the graphics are going to really kill your compy... well, this only works if you have your settings not maxed out like me. Yep, I don't max my settings. Too weak a compy, but she gets my stuff done still the same way. |

Let's put it this way; if you don't get more than 100 FPS average on max settings in UT2004, it means you won't be able to get playable framerates on medium/high settings in UT2007. |

Uh-huh. I will still play UT2k7 with my normal settings since I turn off only the ones that my computer just doesn't have (tri-linear filtering? phfft, no need!). For example, if a game used some physics card for one thing, then I wouldn't use it since I don't have a physics card. That example may not make much sense, but I know my compy could take UT2k7, just not max graphics obviously. I don't do max graphics on UT2k4 for a reason other than FPS. It's so I can run 2 at the same time without blowing my computer up from all the heat it genereates. one for myself and another for where I play with my bro, and when I get a time when he pauses that server, I just go to my Instant Action one. |

a well, i'm getting a new PC soon, so whatever, and NO Bjossi, its not going to be made at home by me, unless that counts for building it on a website like Dell or Alienware. BTW anyone know of any good gaming desktops that aren't super expensive for Canadians. |

Yup, when I upgraded, the parts costed me $1500. A while ago I saw a pre-built computer advertised with slightly less powerful hardware, for over $2500... So you would spare quite a bit. |

Thats what I did. Came out to a price of $390, including labor. Of course its outdated now, but it was almost top of the line a couple years ago. |
