Yep, I finally got it fixed. Been about a month and a half... I actually have no clue what I did to fix it, but I'm sticking with UglyPants theory that electronics devices have their own personality... Well anyways, this means I'll be on MSN again. YAY! That means you have a 57K connection now, right? JK! Seriously, what does that bring the connection up to? Cable, DSL, or what? I really don't know, last time I checked, it meant DSL. Too bad I can't use MSN... I'm stuck with AIM Express... [scroll]Does this work?[/scroll] Edit: Nope... |

That brings it up to... 24 kbps... You lost me there... but I got dial up, a very slow dial up at that... |

OCA, it depends on the type of connection and the ISP. The speed doesn't say anything about it, although if you see a connection faster than ~57 Kbps, it is not dialup. |

I was joking with 56K being Dialup. I said 57K because it was just part of a joke with 56K dialup. But seriously, that sucks to have 24KBPS. I have to check what mine is sometime... when I remember how to check... And you can just call me OC, or just Adam (either one works really, I kinda don't like being called OCA, just something that appened recent to make me not like that). Funny how I just finally got around to telling you that, after about 150 posts of being here... not that much of a problem, but just saying. All I know right now is I've got Roadrunner Cable Internet. |

He doesn't have 24 KBPS, he has 24 Kbps, which is 3 KBps

I hope your not messing with me since I'm an idiot in this area. Do you mean he has 24 Kilobytes per second, or 3 kilobytes per second? |

oh thank God its finally fixed. 3 days into 2007 and its fixed. Thats one of my resolutions done  Darn their personalities. lol.

Do you mean he has 24 Kilobytes per second, or 3 kilobytes per second? 24 Kilobits = 3 Kilobytes 8 bits are in 1 byte. Kilobits are Kbs in short, kilobytes are KBs. |

actually dial up is a combo between ur modem and processor quality..... my puter gets 36 kbps and my moms puter thru the same phone gets 48kbps |

Same goes for all connections, but you have to have a really ancient processor to make data transfer bottlenecked by it. |

even an old 386 can process 56kbps! the bottleneck is always the connection..
good to know u finnaly fixed up Xav.. see u on MSN sometime
