well, it seems sunny South Africa has power problems (again).... news here ! We are having power failures across the whole country (caused endless work for me today at work). Means the devs would also have been without power for part of today...it looks like it's gonna keep happening for a few days... |

nukes are OT for this thread, although ironicaly it is because of our nuke power plant being faulty we are having power cuts around the country! cuts are staggered around the country, so no one area suffers too much... |

I'm pretty sure if it exploded it be all over the news and the Anti-Nuclear people would be up in arms...again. Which is interesting because i live 50 miles away from 3 mile island and 20 miles away from berwicks nuclear power plant. But yea thats gotta suck to be without power occasionally

A nuclear plant exploding wouldn't even require news, you'd see the explosion from hundreds of miles away.

A nuclear meltdown isn't a nuclear explosion. Take Chernobyl for example, there were 2 explosions but none of which looked like the mushroom could seen in the testing of the nuclear bomb during ww2. The first explosion was the nuclear core itself then all the steam pressure created by the turbines popped the top off of the reactor cooling building |
