Back on topic, that seems kind of sudden with the change of name... everyone was seeing UT2k7 every where and now its UT3.
Yet another game to add on the list thats supposively #3 but ends up being, well, not.

Here are some articles and stuff from the midway press event today, it seems that (OMG) the UT2k7 name has changed to UT3 meaning UT2k3 never happened. I'll post any links to fourm threads on BU and new arrticles as i find them. God willing we will get the damn release date and or demo soon. UT3 on Xbox 360? Trailer (January 25, 2007) Bio Rifle? The Necris Fury ingame BU thread Another BU thread Link High rez trailer Quick thoughts from Hal (BU) Man truly awesome stuff. from what i get from the trailer, the Necris are Creatures and not Humans, or am i just being stupid. Oh and damn the flak looks awesome. PS3 console exclusive. It was announced first for the PC. Echo, i really don't understand where you heard this from, if that was the truth which it isn't, the entire UT community would be in uproar since its announcement. Its for the PC, and being PORTED to the next gen consoles it seems, remember thats PORTED, the consoles don't get an exclusive with UT3, all they get is the luxury of having such an amazing game on their system. |

I think everyone just says it wrong, like i just read a post stating the same thing as you, even though halfway through the post the dude clearly says it was first for PC. I think exclusive isn't a great word for it, though it was PS3 console exclusive for a short time, but from day 1, its always been PC first, console second. just an update, seems UT3 is offical, EPIC fourms is changing everything UT2k7 named and logo'd to UT3, now, even the UT2k7 website is now the UT3 website. |

UT2003 and UT2004 are basicly the same game, I'd say UT3 is more correct than UT4. |

But UT2k3 to my knowledge sucked ***, + there was a conflict in gameplay between Epic and DE or something like that, I've read many people calling UT2k3 a beta game that should never have been released. |

Oh well, doesn't really matter to me one way or another, plenty of classics did stuff like that. Doom 3 and Serious Sam 2 to name a few. But thats a bit off topic. Keep us informed on UT3 UglyPants and/or anyone else that wants to gather info on the upcoming Unreal Tournament. For Bjossi's sake you might want to add a spoiler warning if you feel you may be giving too much away or something. |

Maybe you don't have to, as long as you can tolerate pretty low graphics quality at least. The UE games have always been very flexible for systems, you might even be able to run UT3 on a Geforce FX card if you know how to edit the INI files. |

Awesome. That engine never ceases to cause me to salivate. I'm really looking forward to this thing. But what's this crap about the Necrons starting a war? This isn't a war! This is the tournament! If you want a game about a war with the Necrons, wouldn't that just be good material for Unreal3? I'm confused. |

I just downloaded the Ut goty and Ut 03 demo's. And i realize that theres not a big difference between 2003 and 2004 why would epic release 2 games that are almost the same? And i hope Ut3 wont do the same thing. But from what ive seen its looking good |

There is barely any difference between UT2003 and 4, apart from a few model changes & additions, and new maps. They are pretty much the same game. |
