This has to be one of the bext versions yet! here's a list of the good and bad of 1.7 The Good - New crosshairs are really nice (pistol is the best one) -ammo is replaced by correct ammo -Ballistic Setting menu is nice and clean (some of the descriptions are a little unclear to understand but still great) -Not much lag at start of match (sometimes in small maps it lags a bit)! -Overall preformance vastly increased -Nice M50 animations are sweet -good frame rates -ability to shoot right after you launch a nade from the M50 than reload is good -Most stable version yet (except for the error i got) -Can play with 11 bots with nice frames and good settings - Iron Sights are so Fricken sweet The Bad - You still spawn with Meele weapon instead of pistol (haven't tested it on Loadout or Arena) -Ballistic Settings takes FOREVER to load (more than 2 miniutes on first time when you start up game) -You have to hold down the Iron Sights key for a few seconds for the Iron sights of your weapon to stay. should be one tap and the sights stay on! namely you press the key once (without holding) and it goes than just before it stays it goes back to normal) -When you jump with weapons they tend to go straight downwerd (stable jump/sprint had been been selected as on) -If your using your Iron Sights than jump or fall they go off! -The game froze when i died (way into the match) than crashed to the desktop and gave me this UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22] OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2796 MHz with 510MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (8198) General protection fault! History: APawn::processHitWall <- APawn::physFalling <- APawn::performPhysics <- AActor::Tick <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=0) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Golden Dawn <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free Verdict This mod just keeps getting better and better, Iron sights, options and more!! Already mentioned this in another thread, but for good measure: Good -Awesome new crosshairs!! I really like how some of them match the color scheme of the weapon. -Everything seems to run smoother, faster. Bad -The new tracer fx look a bit castrated (fewer tracers, barely visible). Liked the old ones better. |

Definitely better performance Sadly, still have the start-with-melee bug. BUT STILL AWESOME IMPROVEMENT! Less laggy, more shiny and polished. This has to be one of the best mutators made... |

It was a part of the optimization to reduce the tracers amount & quality. By the way, does anyone here also think you should stop iron sight mode when getting hit? Isn't it more realistic that way? |

Reality isn't UT2k4... No need to translate reality to a T when it comes to this game. Regardless, I agree that Iron Sights should be full toggle, not held for 3-5 seconds first to activate. Still fun though. |

But Ballistic aims at semi-reality. If you get hit, at least make your view go a bit off, just a tiny bit.
Perhaps add that to the already huge mutator config menu.
And yes, you should nearly instantly go to iron sights mode. |

good good... :laugh: a few things you dont like though.. hey Ugly!! that crash seems to be a UT2004 bug.. it happens sometimes when a corpse hits stuff, or something like that:) and i see you all want MORE options? |

That happens with all mutators, try to load up WeaponStuff config if you have a lot of custom content installed, I sometimes go downstairs to get myself a drink while waiting. But that is unfixable as far as I know. |

yeah i guess it has to do with my crapload of downloaded stuff! ah well i'm going through my muts and maps and gametypes (gametypes wpage takes 20 seconds ot load cause i've got so many) and deleate ANY that i haven't used or never will use! |

I did that recently and cleaned away 2 Gbs in a few minutes and gained a lot of speed increase.

Get rid of any TCs, they eat up both the most space and speed. And then delete maps you never play plus their music/textures/etc. files that they use. And then of course get rid of mutators you never play. But if you are rich and lazy, you could upgrade the computer instead of optimizing.

Yeah, it really is... The guns look ok but not as good as BWs, and they're kinda overpowered. Hit fx look always the same (lame!). But worst of all there are a buch of annoying, sloppy bugs in that mod. It's been a while, but afaik zooming with the sniper empties your "active" magazine so you have to reload after a couple of zooms, and dropped weapons had pickup issues. Or something... |

The Shotgun in Remote Strike was so powerful that it destroyed a Levi with one magazine of shells. :S |
