Ah yes, the amount of pages simply must be telling everything about the quality of the story itself.

If there's a lot of pages and one enjoys reading it all the way through I certainly would consider it a pretty good measure of quality.

write a book about the genre you have interrests in, such as I like Science Fiction, so I would write something that has to do with Space Ships and lazerz. But who knows what you like most. |

I'm not sure you saw my point... How easily can you write a thick novel that sticks to the same topic, let alone make it enjoyable? That is saying something about how good it is; if it's long but worth the read... On second thought I guess that's more of something that tells how dedicated the author is... Still, says something about how good it is as a book... But anyways, as UP was saying, it is possible to do at a young age, there are quite a few books out there written by younger authors about 17 or 18, occasionally younger, that were/are popular. |

It tells the quality as a book yes, but the story within it can still suck. Sargeant Smash, it takes years of planning to start writing a book. You need to think up a basic plot, start with a few pages as a draft and then read it over and improve it. Then when you got everything set you can start writing page by page. Just keep in mind that this is huge amounts of work, and I'm under estimating it above, as a matter of fact. |

One way to write, if this a story, and not an info book, is to envision the end first and then write to it. That may sound odd, but with a goal in mind it keeps you on track and not meandering. Hope this helps. |

X freakin' D Bjossi! I think this book is called Ballistic Weapons... You should see how many uc files there were in the BCore for v1.72... My bro was screwing around with a lot looking around stuff (so he was trying to create a special function key for his new version of the PillarGun) and he just stumbled across the BCore... and opened the u to uc... 472 FILES!!! Geez, you sure DC isn't being overworked with BW? Aichi.... |

Not so sure about the comedy part, but I'd go for that. I tend to like more Tom Clancy style books. I just like those books. Real interesting on the action parts. Real boring with the political side of things so... I skip those hcapters and go to the action again. |

no comedy. hmmm i guess the wildwest will replace the comedy part. I dont think im to young to write a book, look at that paolini kid he wrote eragon and eldest. Of course those were rip offs of star wars. Juust need some new ideas for a story. if all goes well ill post the first pages here. |

i'd take sci-fi or fantasy SS DC's book was about an evil, fantasy sorta thing.. was really violent, but was damn good... decent quality of writing  so IMO, fantasy or sci-fi.. just think of something you like, and go nuts
DC has coded lots of stuff.. plus re-written most of those code files! in 2.0, there are over 800 classes! He codes, models, some graphics, writes books, does music, plays with electronics and electrical stuff, forged a sword, spear, and axe, and some other stuff too
