The Assault in UT2 sucked compared to UT99's so no harm done from my point of view, but taking away Invasion is inhuman.
At least this makes room for good ports for it, like someone could make invasion monsters that have ragdolls, for a change.

Assault won't be in UT3. Thetrunkmonkey, when you want to debate about if one of the biggest releases of the year will be good or bad, at least don't use arguments that a 5 year old could have made. Epic removed Invasion, which is almost the only gametype I play because the other gametypes are too fast paced. I will get the game just because there will be major changes never the less. Aside from lack of Invasion, keeping double jumping, lame weapon firing sounds and ugly player models; I think this might be an ok game. |

Someone will make an invasion mod. I can't wait for TDM4, and CTF4 on UT3, that mod team was great. Same with Jailbreak. Those gametypes kick ass. |

I think Invasion and Assault are removed because of the new massive gametype, Unreal Conquest or something? They say it's 3x the size of an ONS map and the teams compete to complete mini-objectives or something. I vaguely remember the mention of that on a certain Unreal Fansite. That would be a good reason to ditch Assault, but Invasion seems like a nice gametype no matter what is put in there. It's very fun if you want to be less competitive or just plain relax during the match. (depends on how the Invasion waves are...) |

I don't know if it'll have vCTF, though if I remember correctly it was one of the ditched gametypes. It'd be modded in in no time if that is true. |

@ Wup Vctf and Ctf are combined together so there is Vctf but it's not it's seperate game type any more. @ Bjossi It's called warfare now and it's just like onslaught, Genius and Diabolical Also BR and Ddom is gone because no one seemed to like those game types so the devs aren't gonna make a game type that no one will play. |

Why did they ditch Domination altogether? It was pretty obvious that huge amounts of people would have loved classic Domination back instead of the DDOM bullshit invented for UT2003. |

So much hate going around... We all know we're getting UT3, there's really no point debating. I am going to miss my Bombing Run, but the new stuff is reason enough to buy. Besides, mods exist for everything!

Invasion, Double Domination, and Assault i never touch.. barely touch ONS and Bombing Run.. DM and CTF are like the only things i ever play.. (if i play)

Yeah, at first i played alot of ONS and CTF, and DM, but now, i almost only play Jailbreak and DM, sometimes TDM, and i would play TDM4, but i don't know if its still fudged in BW2.0 |
