So how many of you have heard of defcon? Well if you haven't defcon is a great game that lets you decide when it is the opportune time to launch the nukes, and if your wrong you'll end up with he most casualties. The slogan states "It's Global Thermonuclear War, and nobody wins. But maybe - just maybe - you can lose the least." which is exactly correct because if you launch to early the opponents radar will pick your missile up and Anti-missiles will shoot it down leaving you defenseless against future attacks and if you launch to late you'll be the victim of there nuclear weapons.

I only got one pic from the game, Its one I just took and edited the names in the upper right corner to take the lame CPU names out. If I were to rate this game it would be a 9.5 but don't listen to me go try it yourself ;)

I didn't like it at first but as soon as I reached Defcon 1 and everything went insane I was hooked, And the soundtrack makes you feel badly about launching nukes at the enemies cities and killing innocent people.

Looks awesome. I've known about it for a while, from my PC Gamer magazine. From what i've heard its insanely fun.

Though i'm waiting till my new PC, since if i buy it now, then go to a new PC, i'd have to rebuy it off STEAM again.

You shouldn't have to rebuy anything off of steam. . .Long as you still use the same account, you can install anything that account has purchased on any computer with Steam. That's part of the appeal (and unappeal), you don't have to keep track of discs to reinstall on a new computer, but the install goes slower, since Download < CDs.

How'd you get the game? I thought u could only play it by having STEAM and buying it through STEAM.

Well i haven't done anything like buying games through STEAM so i can't comment on that, but i have played lots of Multi player games through it. And i have to say, i love it, stable servers, and i never need to worry if a game is not up to date or not. I've only had a few times when my account was fudged, but it was easily fixed by logging off then re entering my password and account name. On the whole, i love the STEAM service, voting in any game is so easy. My only grip is that STEAM doesn't remember the servers you've played on, so if you will play lots of multi player games on STEAM, i suggest getting Xfire, it keeps hold of your servers you've played on.
