has anyone tried the mutator Gibilicious 2?... or was it 3.... its pretty hilarious when used with the bloody hell mutator. +_+ but i advise you not to try it on 1000... i tried that and my rig almost exploded. well it wasn't gonna explode or anything it just lagged like a b***** and almost crashed...:woohoo:

You need one hell of a system to generate 1000x more gibs than default without slowdowns, not even my new system will do that flawlessly I think.

I tried using Weaponstuff to give the biorifle lots of ammo and shoot 100 shots/second for a bukakke botmatch. (It'll have to do until I get my flamethrower.) My F/S only dropped to ~40, so I tried increasing the globs/shot to 60 and my FPS meter went down to 2 and turned red. :lol:

Thanks for the tip, I'm looking up "Gibalicious" now.

We are talking about shooting 60 per click, 100 times per second, 6000 blobs every second...you are a maniac. :blink:

Yeah, I know.
It's really weird; for the same overall blob rate, steady stream hardly affects FPS while spaced out clusters kill it. This holds even if I minimise interactions between blobs by walking aim so I'm pretty sure it's not because they're interacting differently. I think it's because clusters take extra CPU time to compute a bunch of random vectors instead of just launching strait, and Weaponstuff (or more likely default UT code it refers) isn't efficient enough at that. On the other hand, it might be because my on-die caches get backed up if I use bursts... I have to test with different small clusters of blobs to find out.
