Yep, gonna be at Michigan State University for the next two days, competing in a state level Quiz Bowl Match.

Along with me Ganome and Sargeant Smash will be coming, plus some other miscellaneous people that's part of our team.

I'll be leaving tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Or not, won't hurt me much. :P

Man, of all the things I hate, I prolly hate Quiz Bee Contests the most. Time restrictions, exact equations, point reduction for EVERY step you fail to write down... the works...

It's like a test to see how much you have learned from your School's own teaching system!

But yes, that grenade launcher does work pretty good at taking out the competition. ;)

We lost the first match but we just beat the second round 285 to 155, which is what I would call a butt kicking.

It seems that the judges don't appreciate us catching a chipmunk and biting its head off right before the match, but it sure did a hell of a job scaring the other team.

We also got a backup plan to confuse, disorient, and break the other teams concentration. I like to call it, Operation Foul Air. Something we ate last night gave us extremely bad gas, but we figure we can use it to our advantage. ;)

My bro (also the star player of this team, scores most the points) has accumulated so much caffeine in his body through the years that he has a reserve readily available. He just learned to call upon his reserves on command to achieve an instant caffiene buzz. You oughta see it; his eyes start glowing, he floats 3-4 inches above the chair, and he can inject lethal amounts of caffiene into someone just by staring at them. Really does wonders towards winning.

I just can't wait until we get a tied game, then we get the lightning round; they throw us in a pit with whatever weapon we have on us and the two competitors fight to the death. Like how any draw should be settled.

Also, I'm coming home later today. ;)

Heh heh... yeah... actually... luck would've been nice... you know Operation Foul Air? Well... apparently someone decided to stall it until that 2.5 hour car ride back was well under way... !ill

So anyways, that last fight-- er, competition was a brutal one. No side gaining leeway over the other until the very end, due to a rather poor judge's error. They won about 20 points ahead of us. (It's set in increments of 5, so it's not really as bad as you might think at a glance.)

Anyways, I did get some rather useful items purchased from Lansing. I bought The Zombie Survival Guide (crucial to living in an inevitable world populated by zombies ;) ) and I found The Walking Dead Volumes 1 and 2, which is awesome because I only had volumes 3 through 5. That is an awesome comic series. I recommend buying them all and reading them.

Zombie survival isn't just about killing zombies. Its about surviving the outbreak for an indefinite length of time. ;)

Plus something tells me a minigun wouldn't be readily available in the time of a zombie outbreak...

And even if you could theoretically get a minigun... there's not really a lot of use for one, on several fronts.

Honestly, Xav's plans of intimidation really didn't help us at all. What would have really helped was if he helped with more of the tossup questions. Too bad this is my last year, because I'm not exaggerating when I say I answer over 3/4 of the questions asked.
