I have a back-up ISO of Tekken 5 on my comp, and I burned it onto a 4XDVD-R, put it into my PS2, and it couldn't read the disc. All of my bro's burnt DVDs work perfectly. I burned it with MagicISO at 31X speed. Can someone please help me out? |

I'm trying with Mode 2/XA and with a different DVD-R. I'm hoping that a different mode would work better. It looks like if I burned with Alcohol, it worked. I am using this disc that has an unknown brand, and I am considering using Memorex to test which performance is better. If anyone here has tried Memorex 16XDVD+Rs, are they good or horribly bad? |

I doubt you will get it to work properly. Some people have reported some success with Alcohol, but it's touch and go. Media DOES make a BIG difference. I've used Memorex before, they're ok, but not my favorite. oh, yes, don't bother with +/- RW's..they just plain suck! Also try -R's, they're much more compatible with all types of drives (older standard format). Please don't let this thread develop in to a hacking thread.... |

Don't worry. Memorex was much better for me, and I was able to access everything in the game. I guess MagicISO didn't handle it well enough. Alcohol was able to burn it alright, but I used this other brand of CDs first and I can't access this mini game called The Devil Within. With Memorex I was able to, but my first one died because I forgot to close my PS2. I just burned another one. However, I was pissed with the final boss, so I used my trusty pal Gameshark. Oh well, problem solved. Thanks for the help. And Bjossi, I DID buy it. I just lost it. But it's strange. MagicISO was able to burn TitanQuest but not Tekken 5. makes me wonder. You guys can lock this thread so no hacker loser turns it into a hacking thread. |
