While drinking my sunday evening Joe, I was bored enough to discuss coffee itself.

It is the drink of the learner, those who read Time and NewScientist magazine probably enjoy having a nice Latte or a Frappa while they indulge in current events in the middle east and the latest breakthough in the Dark Matter debate.

Otherwise it is a drink of the social, I find it great sitting down at a coffee shop with friends or around the living room and we share our different tastes in our choice of caffinated dark brown liquid. Sometimes even having a competition to see who can withstand the strongest or sweetest coffee.

Finaly it is a relaxant for others. Perhaps you like to reward yourself with a nice sugar rich Moccachino along with a block of dairy milk fudge chocolate.

Moccachino's in particular are my favorite, Im not a fan of very strong coffee. Usualy I prefure a divine chunk of chocolate with mine and quite a bit of milk. Sometimes I will even add honey and golden syrup with a tad of vanilla essence if my Kidneys are up for the job of processing all that. I drink this at night since for some reason, coffee does not really keep me awake. Perhaps its because I dont have too much.

Sadly I cant afford coffee on a regular basis. I probably dont want to get too hooked on it anyway.

Who else enjoys coffee? Or maybe you like Tea? We all have our own different tastes and prefurable recipies for the coffee we enjoy. Feel free to share yours.

My bro loves coffee, the stronger the better. He drinks probably close to a gallon on most days, if not more.

Me, I love the taste of coffee, but I don't like hot drinks. Iced coffee or whatever you want to call it is too expensive and just isn't worth the effort to make myself.

Coffee makes the stomach acids aroused so I'd not go too crazy.

I have yet to drink coffee though, have only drank a sip or two in my entire life.

You dont drink coffee like chocolate milk thats for sure.

Try a cuppachinno next time you pass by a cafe' Bjossi. See what you think.

Dont start with anything strong either. Like wine, coffee is something you must get used to.

Heh... that's about the same for me. My family says I'm weird for being the only one who doesn't drink coffee. :P

In truth I still am a coffee drinker at heart, just not much of one.

I definitely enjoy a good cup o' joe in the morning.

I'm probably the exact opposite of Yokelassence, as I prefer stronger coffee and pretty much stay away from the sweet stuff. One thing I like to do is add a little bit of powdered chocolate to my cuppachino, just enough so that the sweetness of the chocolate balances with the bitterness of the coffee.

I hate the stuff, in any form. Just plain bad to me.

Chocolate and coffee go great together, but it is indeed important to get the balance right. I tried Moccachino's at many cafe's and alot of the proffesionals dont get it right. Common mistake is thinking the choc is as strong as coffee when coffee is far stronger. Instead you need more choc than coffee to get the balance.

Best Mocca I ever tried was a Fudgerchinno with real russian fudge melted into it. That fudge was stronger than the coffee.

Yea it was sweet, so so sweet. You would have hated it Rndmtsk. Hehe

I'm more of a Tea man myself. Green and Red especially.

Coffee with Hershey's syrup is great though.

Also interesting is Weasel Poop Coffee. Coffee that has passed through the digestive track of some Asian rodent thing. Yum.

I don't like drinking just plain black coffee. I like stuff like Iced Mocha from Starbucks. I like the strong taste that's in it. Then again I drink any type of coffee that's not overly bitter or tastless.

There might have been something else in there.

What brand did you drink? Remind me not to buy it.

All this talk about coffee makes me want to drink it more! :D

I need to find a way to make iced coffee at home easily though. That straight black coffee with an overwhelming amount of ice cubes in it just don't cut it for me. :P

you can try what i usually drink, mocha chocolate, Note in fact it's not real coffee but it's easier on the stomach. but you'd have to come to Havre to get it though...

Coffee remains the main ingredient in mocha so it is a real coffee. Just not 100%

If you have a sweet tooth Mocha is for you, it does not have a strong bitter kick.

Author:  Captain Xavious [ Tue Jun 05, 2007 4:18 am ]
Post subject:  Mmm...Coffee

I'm rather partial to the strong kick myself.

Author:  Yokelassence [ Tue Jun 05, 2007 5:37 pm ]
Post subject:  Mmm...Coffee

I dont think its all about the kick anyway. I never could drink plain & pure coffee with no milk or sugar. Having it straight tastes like dirt.

Not sure how some other people can stand eating coffee. Thats right, I said eating

I know guys who boast about how strong their coffee is as if it were a sport so perhaps there is a small ego factor in drinking strong coffee rather than just taste.

Like why people drink beer; simply because its alcoholic.
