They just hate everyone that uses it because they suck at the game. If you get insults, look at them as compliments and don't answer them.

every time i go online to play Half Life 2 DeathMatch i get bashed. i use a combo of the RPG and th pulse rifle to earn kills, along with teh gravity gun and grenades among an asortment of other combo's for killing. everyone is okay with these, but it seems that EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥ time there is always some jerk who spams, the RPG is gay, you sux, your life is a sham (that last one happened about 5 minutes ago). Why does a minority of people think the RPG is the gayest of the gay guns in HL2? Is it because it can be guided? Because it does take a resonable amount of skill of get a kill with one? But no it seems that the RPG in HL2 is a unskilled noob weapon that only players who suck use, same goes with the AWP in CSS supposable. Am i right to think that the RPG isn't a child's weapon, that it is a skillful weapon of mastery and mayhem? Or is it really just a gay, fagity gun that no one should use cause its gay and that it kills me cause i use the crossbow and shotgun instead (some guy 5 minutes ago in Hl2 DM told me just that last one)? Dicuss. |

Exactly, thats my thinking exactly. But to the eyes of these idiots, we are the idiots for using such a 'simple weapon'. Its like asking whats the difference between a crossbow and the RPG minusing the ammo and way it kills. You get nothing!, They both do the same thing which is it frags your opponents. I heartedly agree Bjossi, they are total idiots. |

I dont like people spamming RPG's while Im looking for a gun. I dont mind people using it, but I do mind people running around the map killing everyone with a strong weapon, giving nobody a chance of grapping a weapon himself. So... stop running around and gimme a chance. |

So... stop running around and gimme a chance. By default the HL2 RPG can only carry 4 rockets and has a slow firerate. So the defaults would be balanced, but I bet server admins modify the values. |

I have to say the HL2 RPG is pretty weak to me. I just simply believe it's not good enough. On another hand, I prefer the MP7 and the revolvers. Those to me seem to work pretty much the best in my style of playing. I guess simply the poeple who complain must just not like being killed, and are used to always winning and are spoiled or something along those lines. |

indeed. I've had my fair share of disliking people who will use the RPG for preolonged periods of time, namely cause i only play on dm_Killbox_final_911 so your wide open to being killed by them, so i can live with it. |

I think both CSS and HL2 Deathmatch weapons are balanced. AWPs aren't all that powerful, its just they have massive damage, but that's to counter the disadvantages of it being loud and heavy. Same for the RPG in HL2 Deathmatch, I guess. |

People just cant get a grip on the fact they are slow and easy targets, nor are they willing to admit your aim is good. So they blame your weapon. The RPG is vulnerable as it is a one shot killer, these weapons always get slammed by the moaners. And Echo is right, its alot worse on other games if it makes you feel any better. I play Halo PC all the time and yea...I hear ALOT of elitism. |
