hello my fellow BW-fans, today I'll explain a easier way to have your CD work in UT2004 1st- put music in slot. 2nd- a window will pop up, click on the tab that says "play audio CD in WMP (windows media player) 3rd- pause the song you're on 4th- start ut2k4 5th- go to options and click full screen 6th- BEFORE you click minimize, go to audio and make the music go mute. 7th- minimize ut2004, then press play. 8th- go back to UT2004, then click full screen. 9th- play a map with your favorite CD!! if this in the wrong section please move this
Have fun! |

That seems awfully complex for something so simple. |

Here is how would do it: 1) Put CD into the drive 2) Use my favorite media player to start playing the CD 3) Launch UT2004 and mute in-game music 4) Enjoy the game
EDIT: And I don't suggest Windows Media Player with UT2004, it is unnecessarily heavy on resources plus WMP is plain crap, weak output and clumsy interface. Those with slower computers or those who want a better media player, I strongly recommend XMPlay. It has excellent output audio quality and supports more audio formats than WMP ever will. And not to mention it uses barely any resources. |

Wow, how oddely simple. My system 1: Play music from a speakers or some stereo system not plugged into yonder PC. 2: start up UT2k4 and enjoy. |

That works too, at least if you have another set of speakers and an external audio player. |

xD 1. Copy all music from ur CD to a drive. 2. Trash ur CD. (not entirely neccesary) 3. Start UT2k4. 4. Hit F11 5. Add a playlist. 6. Play UT2k4 and the music. And then if you ever want to listen the same playlist again, just follow step 4 and 6. |

But I still have this bit of writing left: UT2004 has an MP3 player! As far as I know, it can't play mp3s that have ID3v2 data in the header, or maybe it dislikes both ID3v1 and 2. Then again, I haven't checked out the player since version 3339 or even longer. |

Try remove all metadata from the mp3s (metadata = tags, like artist, song title, album, etc.) and see what happens. But yeah, I greatly prefer streaming music with a seperate media player for the same reasons. |

Of course, if you like music during gameplay it would certainly spice it up to play while listening to your favorite music. |

Exactly, it doesn't matter if you have WMP or realplayer, it just the fact it can play fave CD's. |

That actually does matter, if you consider output quality and performance that is. |

Well, I a actually confused and enlightened at once here. First off, UT2004 can play directly from CD, is that what you're saying? Second, I may have just realized why UT2004 runs slow on my compy. Third, all this time I thought UT2004 can only play .ogg files.
My bad.

Does SS2 refer to Serious Sam 2 or System Shock 2?
