Yesterday I re-visited the Homemade Songs thread and I was wondering what program did EnteR use... Is it that Creative Studio thing for $99.99 advertised on that site or is it something else?

I use FL Studio 6, but FL Studio 7 is much better. You can download the demo here:

It's kinda wierd in the beginning but you will get used to it and start making really cool tracks! :P
Oh, and actually I've made a tutorial, but I'm really sorry for the really bad humor and my stupid swedish-like english accent. Well here it is, sorry for the big size but the video quality is good and the sound is a little bit off;

Thanks, I'll download it when I have the time.

By the way, what does the demo offer?

Enough to make kick a** tracks. The only things is that you can't save the projects, but you can export and import midi, mp3 and wav.
And there is no stupid 14 days trial or sh*t like that.

That track on the Tutorial is SIMPLE? I can't believe it! My sis said, "How did he do that?" But then she said, "No offense, but that genre is dead." :P. Anyways, are some of those samples custom, like the Kick Bass you used?

I completed my first song. It sounds rather simple right now, since it's my first. :D And some parts sound awkward, I don't really know how to naturally blend in all of the patterns so they sound fluent when put together on the playlist.

And where can I find good Electric Guitar sounds, specifically for Hard Rock, Metal, and that type of stuff?

If you are looking for a good metal guitar, try Slayer which follow with FL Studio 7, it's a VST plugin. And yes, the kick bassdrums and the other drum stuff is custom samples which don't follow with FL Studio. I liked you track very much! :D

Hey guys, I'm gonna post 2 more right now. The first one, which I named "Anarchy," is my attempt of making a metal instrumental. I added some sound effects in the beginning and end like in some of my favorite metal band's songs. The effects sort of sound like a computer to me.. if you listen closely for the last "turn off" effect.

The second one is a test of a few FL Slayer Guitars pieced together with some other elements as pleasantly as possible. It's shorter that I thought though.

The FL Slayer Test Track:

The Anarchy Track:

EDIT: shorter THAN I thought, not THAT :D.

Cool! You learning quickly! Love the metal sound, when using crash cymbals, try to use like a little bit delay and maybe a reeverb using FX, and maybe use fx on the hihats and stuff like that, it sounds much more and stronger. Love The Anarchy, sounds like Arch Enemy-Slayer stylish. AND I LOVE THAT!!!!111

Here's another one called Zanzibar. I put some tags through Windows Media and put it under an album called "The Mystery † Disc". Don't mind that, I was just kidding around with myself.

I would describe this track as an alternative/techno rock song. I thought that the bass and guitar went well together. Here's the link:

BTW, how DO you use Delay effects and stuff like that? i've been wondering. And it seems Zanzibar's also the name of a Billy Joel song, so stupid Windows Media put it down as a Billy Joel song.
