By the way, what are the birthday traditions out there in Iceland? Yesterday I found it on the world map once again... man, it's like a small lonely planet apart from the rest of the world, must really be a very strange and fascinating country to live in.

Kids invite their friends into a party with presents, games, cake and/or pizza, etc. Just the typical stuff. Since I'm too old for that stuff I settle for eating at a restaurant with my family to celebrate.

Iceland isn't much different from other western countries, just a tiny version of them. That naturally happens to isolated countries when they meet the rest of the world very easily with the internet and television. 8)
