With my new computer and its 8800 GTX GPU (I love you 8800), it came with a Control panel, and i looked into it and it shows under Anisotropic Filtering as being 8x, though in games like Half Life 2, i have it set in the game to 16x. Should i set it to 16x in the Nvidia Control Panel, or will that screw up a bunch of stuff, if i do put it to 16x in it, will it allow for better visuals? Also, under Image Settings, its set to Quality and the highest setting is High Quality, should i change it to that or will it slow down my system? FYI, these are the driver defaults I'm sure. Either the AF is application controlled or forced by the video driver. If it is set to 8x in the control panel, it will override the AF setting of all your games, it will even apply the AF to older games. |

Cool, but unneeded. I have only ever started to see stuttering in BW now when i have the blood on stay forever, so after about half an hour it starts to stutter (just a tad) in the smaller maps. |
