I got problems with steam on this computer, and I dont know what it is, how it came or how to fix it.
But it makes steam verrryy sloooooww... I mean, go wait 5 minutes to start up CS:Source and 3 seconds for UT2004!!!
I did see that HL2 was downloading and was on 100%, this isnt right cuz I already played the damn game before on this PC.

I would like to reinstall steam, but would I gotta re download and reinstall all those games aswell then?
If not, woohoo! If yes... crap what next?

Re-installing steam is easy...

Exit steam.
All you do copy/move your "SteamApps" folder (it's under the steam folder and has all the cache files .gcf in it) and the folders under that, to somewhere safe...

Then uninstall steam, re-install let it update etc. When its running and you have your games window open, it will say you have no games and maybe will try to download them! Exit steam, then copy the contents of your safe steamapps folder back in to the new installed steam (under the steam folder).
Open steam again, let it do any updates it needs...

Sometimes I get the whole "Game 100% thing" I usually resolve it by restarting steam.

It might not be a problem with Steam. Half Life 2 and Counter Strike: Source put a lot more pressure on your processor.

That was a patch, STEAM updates about every 2 to 7 days with new patchs for CSS, Source engine, HL2 etc.

huh. Steam's fast for me, maybe because my comp's faster...

it worked fine, but not anymore, thats the problem... and Ill try what you said tomorrow.

Ever since I got my new video card I can't even play Half-Life 2 anymore, can't figure out why,it's brand new!

Look it up on google or something. Search "Cant play HL2 because of video card"
