Well its over and i can say that WiC has been one of the funnest RTS's i've played in a LONG LONG time. Its faced paced action and small amount of units you control make for amazing battles as you'll either try to fight the war alone or along with buddies, dropping napalm onto troop transports, laser guided bombs onto housing holding enemy infantry, chemical bombs into forests to suffocate those annoying anti-armor infantry, flanking around the map with a bunch of huge Helicopters and blasting undefended artillery to pieces, dropping a bunch tanks behind the enemy and rushing there Drop Zones, amazing air combat with missiles spinning toward tanks or at helicopters and spectacular explosions that seem impossible to even happen like nukes be dropped onto massed armies and obliterating everything in a cloud of destruction and radioactive waves leaving a crater of immense size. Ever since I first saw a picture of WiC in a copy of PC Gamer (Monthly), i have been amazed at the graphics and the sheer magnitude that the developers were trying to do. Tactical nukes, artillery, tanks, infantry all in amazingly perfect detail (zooming on a squad of infantry you'll hear them talk their footsteps, and overall bring a sense of amazing realism to the game). missiles and tank shells deform the terrain with every hit, street become clogged with debris and craters as legions of heavy Russian and American tanks rush each-other. I always doubted that a faced pasted RTS could be fun (i prefer base building to a degree (Supreme Commander is TOO much)) and i was wrong, WiC looks amazing it looks better than most current FPS's (and its an RTS), plays amazingly fast with little to no lag (not even the nuke slows the action down) and is sure to be a instant hit when it comes out in September. As a long time RTS fan who has only really like the Age of Empires series, WiC has been shocking experience for sure, but it was the best surprise in video games i've had in a while. I'll be diligently waiting for September to role around to start the campaign against the Americans (or Russians), which reminds me I got to pre-order it. |

Yeah, but i thought at least some would be like cool, sounds like a neat game and say something. Oh well, i had fun with it and have already preordered it. |

If only there was an Icon I could post to let people perfectly distinguish the tone of my voice. 
I'm pretty excited about WiC after hearing so much about it, I haven't played any new RTS's lately,so it may be a nice step back into RTS.I l really like the What If Plot of The Soviet Union blackmailing the UN and I'm drooling at the screenshots.I'm also a long-time AOE fan,was my first computer game

I've also played some TBS's like Heroes Of Might And Magic and Civilization. There nice if you want to take a break from immediate decisions,you get to think out your moves like Chess. |
