Well its finally here, the BioShock PC demo. http://files.filefront.com/BioShock_PC_ ... einfo.html They say that you should get the newest beta drivers from Nvidia if you plan on playing the demo, so i think i'm going to first try without the drivers then if its really retarded, i'll update it (i'd rather not mess with Beta drivers). |

UP, you should replace the link with some other download source. If the demo is downloaded from Fileplanet you need to be a paying subscriber to be able to decrypt the file. I believe Steam has the demo, by the way. |

Alright. Here's the working demo. http://files.filefront.com/BioShock_PC_ ... einfo.html Alright, i just got through playing it (maybe like 30 minute demo i think), but its amazingly fun. Combat is fun and inventive and plasmids are awesome. I highly suggest that everyone should try this (okay, if you can't play the demo, that sucks). Amazing demo, and from the look 25 hours of this seems more than enough to go through in Rapture. |

Smooth as... well yeah, real smooth, no slowdown whatsoever (without beta drivers), the only thing that isn't smooth is the physics, i don't mean there are any frames rate drops when hitting objects and having them fly around, its jut that they don't move smoothly (like something would in HL2). Thats probably my only gripe with it.. The only thing that sucks is that there is no uninstall to it. So I'll have to just delete every damn File associated with it, but that won't be for a while, for i shall be buying BioShock the weekend after this weekend (after first week of College). |

I'm downloading off Steam which makes things kinda easier for me. But the minimum requirements are a P4 single core 2.4 GHz so my hardware if in the middle. |

Bah despite my ramblings about vista its not a bad OS and the flaws don't hold back my gaming or performance to bad. Woah 14% on Steam already! Ill post some pics when its done and I'm playing 
Now 96% and under an hour! Amazing it took my 8 hours on filefront! |

Yea Ive learned from you and others that even though things look bad for vista it will get better, companies will adapt to vista and hardware as well. |

Wow I just got done playing the demo and words cant describe how awesome it was! Ive never been so tweaked during gameplay than I just was it truly got my adrenaline pumping. I only got one pic though because I didn't start fraps in time and had to print screen it. The Big Daddy is protecting the Little sister from a splicer and boy oh boy did he do a number on this guy.

Why? I have windows vista and the thing booted up perfectly fine and I was able to play with everything enabled and on High at 1024x768 with little or no lag. |

Why even bother with the game Xav? I'm pretty sure your video card doesn't support pixel shader 3.0 technology, which is mandatory to run the game at all. Well, you could buy it and let it collect dust until you upgrade... |
