All games that are pretty old (Killer Instinct, Sims, etc.) have blue dots and strange graphical glitches. Could it be that I have to run it in a certain color mode? Here is a pic:[br][br] |

blue dotted stripes and a green background. More noticable on darker screens. |

If artifacts are visible on screenshots, then the monitor isn't the problem at all. |

I like playing ancient games XD. Old-school games are just so stress-relieving compared to more intense new ones like Quake 4. I mean Grapchic-Intenisive in which the graphics sort of keeps you concentrated (Watching Sims go to the potty is even less distracting than that XD.) |

I agree, but Quake 4 is nothing compared to STALKER. That game gives you so many gameplay aspects to worry about that all the recent run n' gunners pale in comparison. |

Did you ever complete STALKER? The ending part of the game gets extremely hard on 'Master' mode. |

Yeah, I completed it. Around 50% through on my second runthrough now. |

I noticed that this problem appears for MS Paint too: [br][br] There are red dots on the toolbox icons. Is this a problem with my monitor settings? No asking what the hell am I doing with the stuff hidden in my taskbar. Makes me embarassed XD. |

I've had red dot problems before, but they were due to my video card being heat-damaged. I don't think you have that problem. Have you tried tinkering with your video settings? And like Bjossi said, if it was a problem with your monitor, we wouldn't be seeing it on your screenshots. |

IF it was heat damaged, then what? |

Then it's time to go GPU shopping. |

Btw, when I was playing GMOD it crashes occasionally, and something pops up about an Internal Error, then this comes out:[br] Any Ideas? NVm, i figured it must be a faulty add-on or something, since it only happens whenver I access that menu. But there is another prob. Occasionally the screen shifts and disorients, almost as if someone cut it up and mixed it around. I think this might be because my GPU problems, but I'll bare with it until I get to the point of madness. |

Oh, and this convinces me more that my GPU blown up. Take a look at this: [br][br] I tried spawning a Combine Tower in GMOD, and then once it appears, this happens. |

I remembered when my Radeon 9800 Pro died out on me. The fan cut out and it overheated. FEAR looked like broken glass.

There is a difference between a card dying and overheating. In the former case you wouldn't be able to boot into Windows at all. So the card can still be saved since it is obviously functioning. Add some extra cooling hardware to it. |
