After looking at the poison gas grenades, smoke grenades might be kinda cool too, especially in levels with tight corridors or small rooms, to cover your escape or just add chaos to a fire fight. |

a Smoke nade in BW would be useless in any bot match, only would work online! I wouldn't get your hopes up for this one! |

You can code intelligence. If there is smoke in front of a bot, you can simply make him not shoot until there is no smoke between you. This is only possible if the smoke can work as a collision of some sort for bots. |

Not sure if this could be done for a bot match, but maybe have it drop their skill to it's lowest level to hopefully throw off their shots till the smoke clears. |

They still shoot at that skill, I'd rather make the smoke work like collision, the bots won't attempt to shoot you until you are at least faintly visible. This can be difficult to code though... |

Yes, but make it a fake blocking volume. You and bots can still walk through, but the bots think that they can't shoot through the smoke so they won't attempt to. |

Quite possible...bots don't shoot through sheets (false walls). You could just make the smoke a mobile sheet. |

Well, it is possible: We get our smoker to spawn a sort of cover actor and we get the bots to not be able to see through these, i.e. they are unable to detect and shoot beyond it. The only problem is trying to implement this with a mutator... we would have to extend the bot and change the actual bot's thinking. They don't yet understand non solid obstructions. Currently if you can shoot though it, the bots can see through it... |

And what is even harder is to make the bots' accuracy change based on how visible you are in the fog. But I think it is ok if bots shoot back if you hit them, they just shoot into the fog randomly in hope of hitting you.

False sheets? There's a good example with the custom made map DM-Reconstruct. There are these huge gaps on the ground and when you walk over it it creates a radius of nanonite platforms that you can walk on. There was also one wall that opens up a nanonite wall, making a mobile blocking volume. |

You need to know UEd to understand the laws behind that. :S But, that could work, but make the blocking volume only block the bots' vision, not movement. |

As a customer and not a "designer" I never even contemplated what would have to go on to fullfill what I thought as an easy request. So to encourage you RS guys I quote Thomas Edison "Results? Thomas has a valid point there, there can be achivements even though the attempt fails. So if the task at making the mod 100% stable fails, you still fixed 90% of the bugs.
