I need to say one thing I noticed about the requirements:

Why is the X1300 being compared to a 7800 GTX? The latter is at least 4x faster. !dodge

I don't know what Epic have been smoking but they need to correct this possible typo.

Dammit, they probably meant X1800 or something.

That puts me well below recommended :((

X1800 would be far more accurate at least. But hey, maybe the engine is simply more optimized towards ATi's architecture.

But even if that was the case, the card is still slow as hell, it is equivalent to the Radeon 9600 series in terms of speed. The only advantages are support for newer graphics features.

So in conclusion; maybe a X1600 would work there, but the X1300 makes no sense at all.

Save for the graphics card my computer I got sitting around looks like it could play it without too much struggle.

Oddly enough, I'm hardy enthused.

You mean running 5 instances of the application simultaneously?

You don't have at least an AGP slot on your mobo? !dodge
That makes things pretty much game over for you.

Nope, plain old PCI only. I can always attempt to just see if I can get it to run to look like 2k4 though. You never know, it might run. I have made my compy run stuff like FEAR before, I just downed the graphics to minimal.

The question is if you can get it to run in the first place. Keep in mind that many recent games want a shader model 3.0 supported video card, without it those games will not run at all. Bioshock and R6 Vegas are good examples.

(Bioshock does boot up, but the graphical flaws will make it unplayable)

Well, I'll prolly end up getting a new motherboard to help out...
