Alright so two days ago my sister and her friend came inside and it seems they let in a mouse (or two), then my cat (Charlie) and his brother (DC) chased this mouse around the house for a while (i was partying with friends when this happened), then they scared it under our stove, so then when i get back home my mom notifies me of this, so I'm like whatever. Also, our cats are black Bombay's, for those interested.

So next day (which was yesterday), nothing much happens except i woke up real late (12), I play the UT3 beta after supper and around 8:30pm i'm still on and i hear my mom shrieking and screaming, so i run downstairs only to find her barely able to say anything cept screaming, i ony caught that Charlie caught the mouse, so after figuring this out i ran over across the street to a neighbors (Norms) to see what he can do, and so he comes over, and finds out that Charlie has not only caught the little thing, but killed it. Which is amazing, because these cats are indoor cats, have only ever seen Dogs, and flies and the possible frog. But one of the funnier things is tha my cat was on death row 3 weeks ago, so i'm amazed that he even was able to catch the damn thing, he waited right at the opening near a crack in the stove. Our dog, being the coward she is, ran into a corner and huddled their scared to death of the mouse and my moms screaming.

After disposing of the mouse, our neighbor leaves, so then 9:08 arrives and my mom screams again, forcing me from UT3 again (oh woe is me ), turns out Charlie caught a second mouse and was in the process of playing with it (psycho cat), so i auto ran to the same neighbor, and he came over, disposed of the second dead mouse.

Yeah, amazing, in the span of an hour, my cat caught and killed 2 mice.

Nice.

But... how come you had a neighbour dispose of the mice instead of you doing it?

Well, see my Mom has a tendency to make anything she's afraid of seem like a ♥♥♥♥♥ warthog, and thats exactly that, i swear she said it was huge, so i just got the neighbor to help, though now i know they were real small mice like only an inch or even less in length

Does your cat have claws? What's this about death row? Cat was real sick for a longe time?

Heh, first it starts with leaves and sticks, then the cat starts hunting mice. Before you know it that sucker will be leaving bird guts and your neighbors trash all over the floor.

Some cats are just naturally that determined.

I know a kitten than brought in a live Pidgeon that was her exact same size.

Pidgeon didnt do anything, didnt have to. It obviously knew that little cat couldnt kill it but it was hilarious seeing this tiny cat haul around this huge (and remarkeably calm) bird in its mouth.

That same cat, now fully grown has slain an entire population of sparrows and Waxeyes on my parents property

Wait until your cat starts presenting them to you.

No front claws, but he does have back claws.

Well about 3 to 4 weeks ago it seemed he ingested something sharp which cut his intestinal track open a bit, so he couldn't eat, so my mom noticed it and took him to the vet, where they kept him for a week with IVs and everything, they even had to do some surgery on his stomach. As for being suck for a while, yes, he was out of it for close to a week and a half.



Oh he's done that alright, brought the two mice both times to my mom while she watched a movie in the family room (right beside the Kitchen).

They do. For the rest of the night i swear he had that kind of "I'm das Shit" attitude to himself.

Now I miss my rat-killing dogs (and when I say rats, I mean those the size of an average kitten)... They died of old age, but when they were still alive, I'd be amazed when I see dead rats all over the floor at 4 in the morning...

Speaking of cats, one of mine caught a chipmunk today. Didn't kill it. Li'l thing ran away after I picked it up by the tail.

My cats usually don't kill the mice right away, they like to play with it like bat it around and stuff. Poor thing it dies from being smacked around.

In our hold house in the Philippines, we'd just set flypaper down on the floors under our cabinets and put food in the middle of it. Set it down at night, and find dead mice in the morning.

Speaking of bugs, 2 of our cats once ate a population of grass beetles on the front lawn.

200 grubs grew up in that dirt eating tree sap for 12 months, just as soon as they climb out of their holes to see light for the first time...our cats picked them out of the ground and ate them like Go Cat biscuits

Hahaha id love to see that as cruel as it sounds.

It was kinda interesting to watch, the cats were hopping all over the place biting the dirt here and there. Its not often I see them that active.
