Post subject:  Your favorite music from a game?
Yeah... I'm listening to old game soundtracks, so I wanted know what you guys thought was the best music for a specific level in a specific game.

Mine: ANTENNA CRADLE!!! That's from Goldeneye 64 FYI. I'm actually trying to make a new version using a MIDI maker I found that allows for an infinite trial version (although it's supposedly 'crippled' as a trial version).

Jazz Jackrabbit 2

The music in all those games is equally great imo.

Nope, I do have favorites within each game though.
Red Faction: The music played when you meet Col. Masako at the end of the game
Quake 2: The music played in the very first level (CD music), I think it's called Cerberon or something similar
Serious Sam: The Great Pyramid hands down
Serious Sam 2: Greendale, both peace and fight music
Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The track used in the medieval levels

Here's my list:
Guitar Hero 3 (Various Tracks)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (The Battle Songs make you feel so noble....)
Counter-Strike CZ (The intro track isn't half bad.)
Fable: The Lost Chapters (The opening song is awesome!)
Battlefield 2 (Intro Track and Loading Music)
Dynasty Warriors 5 AKA Shinshan Gokumusou 4 (All of the tracks fit their stages, atmospheres, and intensities. Best rock/metal instrumentals I have EVER heard.)
Morrowind and Oblivion (All RPG players probably recognize the opening song. A softer, sad tone for Morrowind and a one with Trumpets in Oblivion.)
TitanQuest Theme Song

That's all I can recall. OH AND THE SIMS THEME SONG! YEAH!!!

It IS hard to try finding your fav, eh? I actually had to choose over both variants of the Cradle, St. Petersburg Streets, and even Escape from Arkangelsk (Facility ending music)!

don't forget the quake 2 ground zero soundtrack for the soundtrack from the half life series and music from ut99

Yeah, Quake 2 GZ had some really good tracks. In HalfLife I loved the music that gets played while you are riding the elevator in "We've Got Hostiles" chapter, right before meeting the first soldiers.

As for UT99, I didn't think I even had to mention such a musical masterpiece. :P

We must have similar tastes, there were several tracks in Half Life I enjoyed enough to add to the Ut2004 playlists. I dont know their titles but the songs that played during "we've got hostiles" and "surface tension" were some of my favorites.

UT99 definetly had some awesome tracks, FireBr, Mechanism 8 and Razor-Ub suited the game perfectly.

Too bad UT2004 had nothing spectacular although Conduit-V2 was great to listen to while blowing crap up.

Red Faction had an excellent selection of techno, the track that plays while you're being shot to bits by a giant invincible robot in a waste disposal facility particulary stood out to me.
