This is the 3rd UT3 pros/cons thread, why couldn't you just post this in one of the other two?

i got ut3 last week, so here is my Full thoughts Pros- The new vehicles- they actually make you want to use them, and each weapon on their new vehicles gives a whole new meaning of pain... The weapons- now i can actually use them unlike the UT200X series, old faves such as Impact hammer and the enforcer makes a valiant return while new ones such as AVRiL and the Stinger from Unreal make a entry into the fray. Use them while you can Music- this is how it should've been since UT2004, they are remixes of older ones like Lockdown and Mech08. Maps- Very inventive and varying, Gateway is the winning map for me. Characters- Customizable characters are wicked cool, and you can finally tell the difference between them. Cons Putting new maps in- this is biggest complaint i have, putting maps and other stuff is confusing, you have to to My documents, my games, UT3, published, custom maps, by the time i get there, i'm confused. Lacking CTF maps- why is it that CTF and the VCTF has 6 maps? i mean there are 6 maps for each CTF variant and it sucks, CTF is a grandaddy in UT and it should have more maps for each variant. No nickname system- not a big gripe, but I hate using gamespy and it's nickname system. Story- This isn't bad, but it's just basically playing through maps and with random cutscenes. Also i heard that there were going to be different voices for each character, so Krall, some necris, and Liandri have all the same voice. |

Ah, still think its odd that we had 2 let alone 3. Oh well For me; Pros: - Wonderful weapon balancing - Vehicle combat is fun and not horrible, same with Warfare - Maps are fun as well as inventive Con - lack of Arena mut plus a mut for vehicle team sets - not enough customization - no Xan, Malcom or Gorge - Not gory enough for me |
