| Post subject: | Oblivion GOTY? |
I am thinking of picking up Oblvion GOTY for my PS3. I have only heard great things about it, and i am an RPG fan. Any reason why i shouldnt pick this one up for $60(U.S.)? and no, the fact that it isnt the PC or 360 version will not discourage me at all. gamestop PS3 review - "The graphics are slightly better, the load times are shorter"

i think that its what im getting too lol, make sure u get the goty edition(comes with the expansions as well as the main game) |

60$ for Oblivion?? whaaAAA?? isn't that rather expensive? 
Or am I mistaken of what you're buying now. Anyways, Oblivion is great, but you can download mods and other cool stuff with PC version and easily set em up. My brother made a mod or two, the New Skins mod, they improve the skin texture of all people. Making them look alot better. The emperor (in beginning) doesn't look old at all now, old enough still. Skins not his creation, but he did do the mod. A small note though... the skins in this file are probably 18+ rated, cuz of the new skins being... well... ya know. Mysteriously only female characters have that... But aside that, he made another mod, the Gem of Amara. A really cool and pretty long dunguon full of vampires and undead. Really tough. The Gem of Amara is a ring which allows Vampires to walk in sunlight without damage. |

$60 expensive for The game and two expansions? seems like a fair price to me. And i dont think i'll be buying it for windows...... |

There's a downside for console versions of Oblivion, and that is the ability to customize your game experience. You won't be able to download any sort of user created mod for your game, in case you get bored. However, the PS3 version does have improved framerates and graphics, and GOTY means Oblivion, Knights of The Nine, AND Shivering Isles, so you'll have to weigh the pros and cons. |

So only UT3 makes mods available for PS3? I am sure theres a way to make the PS3 version more customizable as well(just maybe). |

I got those mods... and all other ones too like the wizard tower. Shivering Isles is such a cool expansion. Knights of the Nine, well, fun but not that fantastic. |
