With UT3 here, am i the only one wanting Ballistic Weapons to go into UT3? Even if its just a relatively fast port to get it in. Only reason i say this is everywhere I look (and yes i know RS wants to go in a TC direction with its next project) their is clear evidence that mutators are capable of SO much more (like in Customize UT (i think thats its name) the guy created a tab/menu in his mut which allow you to CHANGE every weapon, like its damage, Rate of fire etc ) http://zrkxcq.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p ... .45-01.jpg Like i always thought BW needed something like this (i'm sure i've suggested it to the devs) but it was apparent it was almost impossible or quite hard to do in UT2k4, but it can be done (guy seemed to have done it easy). Even with just putting all the BW weapons into UT3 would be cool enough, add to that a menu like this http://zrkxcq.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p ... .45-02.jpg so people could change the player so as to get their type of gameplay style (some may want tactical). I dunno why, but when i played the new mappack (shown in Showcase forum), i just had a yearning for the jumping mine to lay around the flag bases. Anyone else feel we need BW for UT3? (probably a stupid question, and yes i know the devs are having trouble with it all). Here's theCustomizble UT3 mutator if you want it. I swear whenever i use said mut, i think of all that could be applied to BW. |

Modifying rate of fire and all those numeric stats is very possible in UT2. It was ditched because it would create a mess online, each server with it's preference. Though I don't see why they didn't add it for IA. |

Exactly what i thought, BW should easily have a 1 online preference that the Devs decide, whilst for IA you can choose it yourself. Would be totally awesome, i pray that a day comes when the devs can put BW into UT3 and i pray they can add some feature like this, cause then you wouldn't have a million people complaining about "i find this weapon too weak or it doesn't have enough kickback, cause with a system like what i mentioned, as you said you can just change it to suit your needs, and i'm sure a system could be figured out after a while to allow online servers to have a different setup from the core online setup without interference. |

Getting the game would just be the first step, next DC needs to learn how the new engine works, including UEd. And then the porting can begin, assuming they will do it. |
