Well since Ive noticed a few people owned the game I decided to make a thread about it. Me and a few friends have played against each other recently and wondered if anyone else would like to join us sometime. Feel free to throw your own tips out there as well. Yep love it. Although some complain it doesn't live up to the expectations that Rise of Nations set before. |

God, i haven't played Rise of Nations in a while, but boy, i loved it, its expansion is a must, adds so much more to it. If you like EPIC, GRAND battles, theres some mod, a RoN:TaP , which allows for a population limit of 600, though the bots don't really use it, whilst you can have as much as you please, though on occasion, i've felt the opposing AI has used +200 pop, which is fun as heck. If your in for a ton of fun, though your in for a long battle, choose the east indies (if i remember) map, set it to max players, from the first age to the Modern Age (i find the information age a tad too hectic + th superpowers impose rushes to the super power), with diplomacy on, and enjoy having a fun, destructive battle against your enemies and allies, i find it great to end near the Renaissance/Enlightenment with going all out and take a couple cities from EVERY ALLY you have (i usually have 1 or 2) then rejoin them as allies (which means your going to have to pay alot to get back their alliance, but you'll be grateful because once the modern age hits and your constantly battling your ally(ies), you'll be happy your enemies now are undercapable at combatting you. |

I usually play with Diplomacy mode. And when I send a request for an Alliance and they reject I just roll in there with 5 artillery units and just destroy everything. But I dont take the city just destroy the buildings and leave. |
