This puzzles me a lot. Every time I do a system recovery, my Interent Explorer goes wonky. For example, everytime I search for a mod in garrysmod.org, Internet Explorer encounters a problem and the Error Report thing comes out. It happens to this place too, but after clicking debug, it looks a little better. I've already tried updating IE6 to IE7, but still the problems persist. |

Well, you could always switch over to FireFox.
Never had that problem with FireFox. EDIT: Aww... Darn it, UP beat me to it.

Tis true Firefox destroys Internet Explorer every time. Its faster more reliable and looks nicer in my opinion. |

Well, then don't create a reason to use system recovery. Problem solved. Or you can keep the endless pile of system errors and go with Firefox. But all kidding aside, I don't have a clue why IE would behave like that. This is something Microsoft could answer better than us. In the mean time you can switch to another browser, Firefox is fantastic and so is Opera. |

Stick to IE6, it works. Honestly, I can't stand Firefox. Trying to go around with tabs instead of just windows... Maybe it's because I have a max of 2 or 3 windows at a time. That plus my music and some convo. |

Let's not turn this into a browser x vs. browser y debate. It is obvious IE is giving him problems, so it is perfectly logical that he uses another browser while getting the problem solved. And the best way to solve a problem with IE, is to check out Microsoft's website, they have a gigantic knowledge base that one can search around in. |

My opinion just got thrown as one of those? I'm simply stating from my experience that IE works perfectly, and if something is going wrong with the internet window, it's because of background programs, including ones that might only be seen from the Ctrl+Alt+Delete Task Manager. |

I suggest that you read the first post of this thread, it helps to understand the situation. Edit: KylinRage, did you try clicking the "Click here" link in the error's text for more details? There you can see info such as which module is being problematic. With that info you can make a more accurate search in Microsoft's database for a possible solution. |

I'm getting the feeling it has to deal with bad cookies (no, I'm not trying to joke here). A corrupted cookie can do this at time. You might need to go and just delete all your cookies. Unfortunately it will suck if the problem persists though... I've had that happen a few times, and this solution only worked a few times. My other solution was to check for temporary files from sites to see if they were corrupted. However, that sometimes doesn't work... that's when I switch browsers (and that was from Firefox to IE6!). |

Safari was made available for Windows users some time ago, haven't checked it out though. And by the way, deleting cookies and temporary files is a good suggestion. Those files corrupting for one reason or another can screw up a browser's stability no matter what the browser's name is. |

When I was having IE7 troubles and other problems, I was forced to do a repair installation. After this IE7 wouldn't install at all. Fixed it by re-installing Service Pack 2, in Safe Mode with Networking. and then trying again. This fixed tons of other errors too. Bit off tangent, I know, but if all else fails: [Safe Mode-Reinstall SP2-Reinstall IE7] If nothing else works, use FireFox, it's awesome. |

You could also try getting it to work then creating a restore point. Then when all else false, and it goes haywire, you can go back to that good restore point. |

By the way, I sent the error report and they said that I should turn off all add-ons and other stuff. All the methods didn't work. I like Firefox, though, so problem solved. |
