Just curious as to how many of you guys are into Japanese anime of any genre (be it a normal TV series, manga, doujinshi, or even hentai). It's just that it's been under a lot a fire lately, from low sales (due to pirating) to just general disdain for the industry. But you gotta hand it to those crazy Japanese otaku - they put up with a lot of sh*t, like being criticized, stereotyped and taking flak from their own motherland (that's right folks, Japan hates otakus), just for a handful of us who appreciate their work. |

Well, i won't lie about it. But, i'm a real anime, manga and hentai lover. it would be a real shame to let such a beautifull artform go to waste. in case you guys didn't knew yet: I'm a manga drawer as well. so i'm pretty much trying to keep it alive. |

I love manga, but I'm more into fighting manga (Shonen I think) like bleach, naruto, dbz, yuyu akusho,... Well, lately I've been watching elfen lied, which I loved and of course Death Note (when it came out I became immediately a big fan) |

As you probably know, we can't be held responsible for someone's internet activities, only our members and content that appears here; which both need to follow forum rules and international laws. And I don't see discussing Japanese cartoons as harmful in any way. |

... which is my current obsession... yeah, I'm a sick little man... But when pr0n has a really good plot, I can't help but be amazed. And a heck lotta doujinshi and h-manga have good plots nowadays. |

You guys could probably set it up so there is a hidden forum specifically for the more,mature discussions.It would be hidden to those who set their memberships up with a birthday indicating they are less than 21(or 18 or whatever you want),and force users to input their birthday information. |

The problem is that you can lie about your age. A better idea would be the admin invites members and then they'll see the hidden forum, Meh, I doubt it'd be a good idea anyways. This community circles around BW, not horny guys in a porn display contest. |

Actually the Manga is like a comic book, it's just a book, always in black and white (reason is :Japanese poeple get tired really fast of colors and complicated drawings). They prefer simpler drawings to rest the mind (due to overwhelming flow of information they get all day long by publicity, news, etc... well, this part is really long to explain) An anime is a TV serie usually inspired by a Manga (and most of the time, the story line between the original manga and the anime change a bit, sometimes totaly (samourai deeper kyo)). Hentai is not really p0rn but twisted p0rn, actually Hentai means "perverse" in japanese. Why twisted ? 'Cause usually they use monsters with tentacles, etc... (even if some rare are just raw p0rn, sometimes violent... Seems the girl is always suffering and enjoying s*x) Anyway, in most manga / anime, even if not hentai, you see girls w*tt*ng their p*nt*es, why ? Because manga are made (originally) for (young) boys (even if you can see more and more manga made for girls with romantic / drama stories). Why showing young boys perverted things ? It's simply a japanese fear of homo**x****ty. dôjinshi or doujinshi are amateur manga taking framework of an existing serie. We could talk a long time about manga, it's a reflect of japanese society. Well, I'm learning Japanese and I've done a thesis about the japanese society, it was really interesting so, if you have any questions about it

Meh, I doubt it'd be a good idea anyways. This community circles around BW, not horny guys in a porn display contest. True about both parts,you can lie,but at least it would still be a small barrier. But i agree with the second more,don't feed the perverse,just prevent(lessen)mature content in a teen setting. |

We don't create rules as we see fit, Xav. The closest I could find in the forum rules is pornographic text, and there is no such thing here. This thread should go back on topic now. But it would be best not to go too far with discussing hentai. It is, after all, Japanese cartoon porn. |

Sorry to say,but the nature of hentai IS pornographic,and I for some reason have to associate it with pornographic text.I may not be a Admin/Mod but thats how i feel... I have to agree with Xavious |

The nature may be pornographic, but discussions don't need to be that way. Pornographic text is a text that contains words relating to porn, which I shouldn't name here for obvious reasons. Such text is not present here. But as I said, we shouldn't discuss hentai, to avoid the possibility of discussions going too far. (or other porn-related Japanese cartoons that may be out there) If someone wants to discuss this further, drop me or Xav a private message. This thread will be going back on topic now. |

Never heard of it. The only anime i like is Eureka 7 (crazy mech battles with a great backstory) and Bleach (samurai who go around killing Hallow thingys and a guy in a awesome hat, count me in!). Everything else either confuses me or is just WAY too werid. |

I was so laughing while reading through the topic. 
Japanese are very weird people, making anime porn why wont they just make more of real one.
The fact that Hentai or whatever you call it exist is already making me laugh.
I wonder if its really popular in there ?
And for the "normal" anime, i dont watch them, too many kids blowing half of the planets and these famous uber fast fighting. |
