UT2k4 Goes like hot shit with my new PC (full settings, inf. blood/decals), I got it a few hours ago, and hadn't noticed any laggy framerates so I "sat fps-ified" and it was running at triple figures, on my old PC, I never saw more than 80 on the menus! about 23 in game (on lowish settings)! I've gone from 1.4ghz (AMD Athlon) to 2.33ghz X2 (Intel E6550) and an old FX5500 to a shiny new ASUS 8600GTS, I'd recommened the 8600GTS to anybody, easy. |

You should have pushed for the 8800 GT. Close to the same performance as the big boy $500 cards at half the price. |

Heh, no need to say sorry, my point was that any tech savvy only needs to know the model initials to know what card you are talking about. The rest doesn't really change much.

I thought about the 8800, but was about £50 more, and I just didn't have the moneys. was about £130ish, but you can get an inno3D one for about £95 |
