Well, I have a big problem, although I know quite well computers, here, I can't define what does this: From time to time, my computer completely freeze, screen is frozen, sound still work, the mouse and the keyboard are out. The only thing I can do is rebooting my computer ! Is this virus ? Program ? Material (Ram or Graphic card or...) ? I use Windows Xp Pro, SP2 This problem happened while I was working on power point 2007 and while I was playing chaos league. Didn't tried yet if it could happen under UT2004. I made some search for virus / spyware with Ad-Aware 2007 and Multi virus cleaner 2008. But nothing was found... Yet, I know those programs aren't perfect. Can anyone help ? |

RAM. Sounds like something is loose or starting to fail. Take the ram modules out, make sure the contacts are clean (mind for static!!!) and put them back carefully. Also, check if your system is not over heating. |

That could be a failing video card or corrupted graphics driver. |

Finally found what the problem was. I think it was an overheating problem. I cleaned my computer, checked the RAM, etc... But nothing was working. It was an overheating problem, I increased the speed of my fans and now everything just seems fine

Actually, I was really afraid and stressed that would be an hardware problem  'cause I don't have the money to change / repair my computer right now + I really need it for my job research.
