Here are a few animated .gif sprites which are in fact renders taken from some 3D models from an unknown game. I'd be most obliged to the person who tells me where these 3D models come from.

Icewind Dale I and II, Baldur's Gate I and II, Planetscape: Torment were suggested, but it was proved that these have nothing to do with the mentioned games. Again, it's known for sure that the renders are home-made, and the original game had 3D models in it.

Any suggestions welcome.

This is of vital importance to me.

Looks like something from Diablo, or maybe an old Dungeons & Dragons game.

Icewind Dale 2, I believe....

The first one reminds me of "Abomination: Nemesis Project". Speaking of wich... I wanna play that again!

I can confirm none of those come from Diablo or any sequels/expansion packs.
I have never seen them before except the middle ones... those strike me as familiar...

Sorry, it's a known fact that the target game has 3D graphics and totally lacks any sprites. These are but renders of those models at a certain angle.

The middle ones are very close in appearance to many of the lizardmen characters and such like things in Icewind Dale and related games, but again, these are just home-made renders from some 3D game I must identify.

The first one clearly appears to be of D&D origin, since it fits the description of a certain type of beholder with many eyes all around the body, two trunk-like appendages with teeth at the end, and long tentacles. However I never faced it in a PC game, thought that was just something from the tabletop game bestiary.

Final Fantasy Online from what I can tell. The creature in the pic is apparently a form of "aspid" like in your pics.

Keep in mind. There may be no game for them at all.

No, there's a game. These are used as placeholder graphics by a team making a new castle type for Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (one of the five new castle types currently in progress) for the units which haven't been given their unique sprites yet, and the guy who put them in said these were renders taken from 3d models from a game but he refuses to tell me the exact title just to make me wonder.

Perhaps the reason for him denying you that information is because they come from a yet to be released title.

For beeing a D&D player for more than 10 years, I can tell those monsters aren't from Icewind Dale I and II, Baldur's Gate I and II, Planetscape: Torment or any D&D game (even PnP games).

Rather, it looks like they come from some fan made game like Shadowflare or so...

I had a dream last night that these creatures where part of a CCG(Collectible Card Game),don't forget CCGs like PoxNora(I think it's called that). Some are 3Dish.

Well, it's the kind of creatures I would effectively see in "Magic : The Gathering"

There's so many twisted creatures in that game (that's why I stopped playing it, it became too crazy !).

That, and the random new abilities that come out every once in a while that completely overpower any older deck you might have...

You mean, besides the losing hundreds to buying booster sets and of course "card lots" on ebay!

My black "control" deck still holds up. There are few things more devastating than global damage and field control, mwa ha ha haaaa....

This is made for Heroes of Might and Magic III on the PC, correct? And these guys are making, basically, a "mod" for it? Sounds neat.

The left sprite in the third row looks something like what you'd find in Tactics Arena Online. Except, those are sprites, too.

First and second sprites have the design similar to some Everquest creatures. The first one looks like something I've seen in Champions of Norrath, although not exactly identical.

Yup, creatures from Everquest seems right...

So, there are still magic players out there ? Hehe... I love the black magic !lol
It was really deadly...

I remember my most horrible deck : my discard and break lands deck !
When I was playing with it, nobody wanted to play ever with me ! lol

Now I left magic for Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (from white wolf => hence my signature).

Much better than magic, I felt in love with that game !lol and it's much cheaper than magic !
Basically, instead of taking the world of D&D to cards, it takes the world of darkness to cards if you know the pen and paper game.

But well, it's totaly different...
