Yeah that was just a rumor from what i hear, Some bigshot at EPIC said that this was just a rumor and that they had no plans on doing another gears of war, besides it kinda sucked, everyone was all like "OMG !!1!! it go1ng 2 pwn halo3!!1!!!1" Well that never happened. I got so hyped up for GOW but when it came out i was very much let down. |

Huh, thats just what i heard on Xplay, i dont know if its true or not. Personaly i think After Gears of war, which was ok i guess, i dont think epic is gonna be capable of making another game as good, kinda like how an artist gets to a certain point in their career then their stuff just sucks. Well i hope its true, another GoW cant hurt, Maybe they were talking about a different game on Xplay, i dont think they were though. |

GoW sucked anyways. It was 3rd person. I've always felt 3rd person shooters felt like you had NO control at all... It's just very... crappy. I'll end up passing GoW2 too... |

I prefer 1st person, but I don't have problems with 3rd. The Splinter Cell games are a good example. |

I think 3rd person is good, you can see all nice animations which your character performing. But what i dont like is when 1st and 3rd person view merged, like in R6 Vegas. |

What?! A hugely successful game will be followed by a sequel?! No way!! I hope it comes out on PC at or soon after its initial launch. I can say from experience that GoW is much more enjoyable and playable on the PC compare to the xBox. No more accidentally sticking to the walls. Maybe my comparison is just a little warped becasue my xBox GoW experience involved half of a low-def TV, vs. my 1680x1050 monitor... something like a 12X differnece in resolution, right? |

Ty, how do the controls transfer from the 360 to a PC? What's you control layout (if not default) and how easy is it to live with? |

ok, Rap, my mouse takes quite a bit of credit for the better control layout. left and right buttons fire and aim. my pinky mouse button does the sprint/cover. I use Ctrl to melee, since it's a good twitch key. Pg down zooms the sniper, but I may want to train myself to use numpad 0, instead. Perhaps, the vontrols seem intuitive because that is the general path I take for any shoot-em-up. Never got used to the console controllers. I would have set my attack to my thumb mouse button, but both my pinky and thumb mouse buttons are recognized as the same input in GoW. Grrrrr. Oh, and Bjossi, you're absolutely correct about the estimation I made off the top of my head. I was off by a bit, with the 12X resolution difference. It is my understanding that a low-def TV has 525 pixels rows, so that would give the average 3:4 ratio TV 700 columns, which gives a total of 183750 pixels, since I was talking about having only half a TV (due to multiplayer). My 1680x1050 screen gives me 1764000pixels. Doing some dividing shows that I only have 9.6X the pixels on my desktop vs. the console (or 4.8X for single player console). Now, if I were using my bro's super monitor, which has a resolution somewhere along the lines of 2000x1600, then I would have 17.4X the pixels. Dispite the small pixel count on the TV, I couldn't easily pick out the individual pixels, so I guess there was some antialiasing. |
