So I was looking around and I decided to go to my user posts, and to my astonishment I had 108 pages of posts. I looked back at my very first posts and oh boy. Every sentence I used had ellipses and usually a spelling error. Thank god for Firefox spell checker eh? Anyway my very first post was, I couldn't find the name of a mod *Advanced Armor* and like...wow. So take a look and reminisce about your early days here at Runestorm with me

I got 881 pages of posts, holy grandpa... When I joined, BW was at version 1.1 beta. The days before we saw weapons like the minigun, double barreled shotgun, etc. Loooong time ago, in other words.

You should check out the first pages of this forum. You can see that it was just a chat between 2 - 3 members, I remember me, James and joseph being the biggest posters at the time. (actually, the only posters, hehe) |

Yeah, Joseph announced he was leaving and would check up with us every once in a while. Its been a while since hes posted here. Heh, i also remember back before BW hit 1.5 Gold or something. |

Runestorm was one of my most successful forum ventures. Probably because the forums aren't occupied by jerks who partake in picking apart the new guys. Which is good, thanks older forum figures

And thats good because many other forums with potential suffer from jerkish members. Like Kamain's forum. That was my first forum and I loved the place but it kinda broke down into a civil war between admins and moderators and the members themselves. Lots of insults, lots of hacking..just not the place you'd wanna be. So I resigned my status there and came here shorty after getting Ut04 and my friend found hedsteem which led me here. Theres my story on how I got here

Civil wars between staff members ain't gonna happen here; the RS brothers, me, Xav and Sarge are good friends and (most of the time) on the same page when decisions need to be made.

Indeed and I believe the power is in good hands, but yea that place turned into a war zone it was crazy. I went back sometime later to check things out and they seemed to improve but still I'm at home here and on the Kf forums. |
