Well it was announced a week ago. Seems like it'll be a epic mappack. There are some amazing mappers on the staff (KaMi the creator of DM-Mako), Kantham (amazing creativity... making VCTF-Retro for what i know) as well as Desp (insanely amazing mapper). http://cbp.beyondunreal.com/ I have high hopes for this pack, and I'm sure it'll deliver. My hopes are for some returning CTF maps to come as well as some new DM/ WAR maps. But knowing them, i'm guessing they might be remaking the Assault Gametype so as to make a few maps for it (since they loved Assault)... this would be just to have a pure (with no WARFARE in it) Assault, which would actually be pretty awesome, since if we get some good maps, it'll be quite fun (i kind of like Assault in UT2k4... just annoying how all bots would be too stupid to fallow orders), so hopefully they'll be a bit smarter. So, RS community members who have UT3 (the 3 of ya), what do you think about CXP3? Liking the look of the new maps? Hoping we get it before summer? Salvation looks wonderful. New/ reskinned textures/meshes really help (wish i knew how to do that). Iron Maiden2 - i remember the first one from Mozi, loved it. Pretty awesome idea how now when it was all techy/ gothic its now been taken over by plants. Endura - Going to be one of those maps that anyone with a powerful gaming PC will enjoy. HongKong - Looks interesting, i'll wait for details. Cool idea how it coincides with what China is going through right now (overpopulation) Also, all you UT2k4ers... buy UT3. |

Erm, why do things like this creep up on me. I got UT3 at christmas, but I sort of abandoned it until decent stuff comes out for it. Just had a look, this does look good. I think when this comes out, that other U button in the taskbar may get another click. |

Actually it was UT2003, but then was ported to UT2004 later. He also Made CTF-Deep if not mistaken, Which is my favorite CTF map. |
