I'm thinking about getting into making some techno... Anyone got some software and gear to suggest?(preferably free,I'm a cheap-ass) I'm thinking I'm gonna need... >Something to mix sound bits. >Something to rip sound bits. >Something to convert all this into a high quality format. >I'd also like to know what you would suggest is a good format(space efficient and sounds good, basically a midground) I'm not going to put this stuff in any games,I just want something more to listen to using WinAMP. |

the master is here
ok now.. i recommend getting the demo of FLStudio.. Easy-ish to use, and damn powerful.. Thats you main sequencer, mixer, everything.. After that, you'll need some sorta audio editor, like SoundForge.. get Audacity though, i think its free and powerful
Of course, to get something really good sounding, it'll take lotsa practise and hard work Don't give up if your first stuff is really terrible
