Post subject:  really bad lag
well, when i downloaded this CTF map (Turantula) and after i played it the game started lagging really bad. The objects turned white, and later main screen (settings menu, weapon base, join game,ect.) and the backround was white.when i start the game its fine, no lagging and stuff, but when i start a match everything turns super slow,as if i'm on slowmotion exept worse.
does anyone happen to have any ideas how to fix it.
i have aready deleted the map that caused the lag, i got sligthly better but, for the most part its a living nightmare x)

UP speaks the truth. Upload the picture to imageshack or other image hosting service and then link to the jpg here with an IMG tag.

Anyway, lag can be caused by many things. It can be because hardware is too slow, but in your case I think the reason is different. Does the game start lagging after a certain amount of time? Does this happen in any other of your games?

okay but my game was working fine until i played that map^. Like i said the game starts to lag when i begin to play any kind of match(death match,capture the flag ect.)
and sadly this is the only game i have for PC !sad

Since the problem is recorded on a picture, we can single out overheating.

Try update or reInstall video drivers.

If that fails, I'm afraid I have to bring up the possibility of dying hardware. It is very hard to predict such problems if you only have one game to test the theory on.

yeah, try some other games or download some free ones(Nexuiz, Sauerbraten, Wolfen-ET, etc).

i just installed my really really really old game(age of empires 2 the conquerors) and it works better than ever.
it took me hours to find it!
i noticed for the past few weeks i have been playing UT 2004 without a disc but, its the same with the disk anyway

The disk check was removed in a patch, so putting the disk into the drive won't make the slightest difference in-game.

And you need to try more recent game, AoE 2 is way too old to test stuff like drivers or even overheating.

wait. when i just started playing i went to single player (beated the game twice) there is no lag.not even the slight lag. !? its perfect but not the same with instant action and others.
