downloaded a lot of models for UT2004, and all of them work. then i sychronized the two computers, and my friend took the masterchief model. however, I(and he) in-game could only see a Jakob... what's the problem? one bizarre thing is that it was invasion, and in the 4th or something wave he appeared as the masterchief. next map, no. (and he changed his model to a stormtrooper to see if works... and works! why the masterchief doesn't work? (oh, and I appeared ok in his game)

you see a jacob because maybe not all components of the masterchief are installed like textures animations ect. i had the same problem with a model(shade) and i didnt had all the components of the file installed and saw a Jacob with the Shade's models abilities and skills. if i'm wrong correct me(someone). i'm not too sure about how he appeared the next wave in invasion |

Jacob is a fallback player model if you choose something incomplete or faulty. |
