Why wouldn't any comming RTS game have better graphics than SC2? SC2 is cartoony. DoW2 is serious.

I would say there's quite some predator touch in the protoss. People say Blizzard often steal ideas. (o,o) I donno about that. Funny though that the idea of the protoss reavers was take from some creatures from an anime series which looks almost exactly like those cute fat robotic maggots. |

Warcraft is a ripoff of LotR, and SC is a ripoff of Aliens and Predators  (the way i see it)..
Anyway, DoW does look cool, and i've been wanting to try it, just had more important things to buy.. |

I'd heard about this, and seen early screen shots, and the teaser... but.... *Eyes grow huge and teary before hugging P_Colossus, before imploding and being sucked into the warp* NOOOO! DAMN DEFILER SPAM! Ahem, those who have played Vanillla DoW muliti (Or just read GameFAQs, in my case) should get that one. Sorry, computer upgrade. Got it done two days ago, and I'm loving it.... A little sad about lack of love for da Orkses in these screen shots, though. In time, though, their should be some Ork-smashin action. Cause we'z is da orks, and you'z is notz. |

The only thing i care for this is that this would equal a possible Company of Heroes 2, or just another expansion. God how i want to have Russia or the Africa Korps vs Desert Rats campign... OMG that would be so awesome. Having both of those... God, i would die. El Alamain and Stalingrad, Kursk and siege of Berlin in the same expansion... speechless. Yes i know that the Desert Rats and Africa Korps would contain a lot of reskinned versions of already made units, so what, it'd be half new, a quarter old and a quarter new skins + a crap load of new effects. God that would be awesome. I could see The Battle of Kursk now... man that would be so amazing. Tigers, Panthers, T-34's, Kliment Voroshilov, Iosif Stalin... And it would be LOTS of them. Give the Tanks improved AI functions and it woudl be EPIC! Sorry for going OT. I'm just too much of a WWII game lover. |

Someone at my local Games Workshop remarked that he realized the SC and WH40k art directors are the same guy or something, explaining a lot of the similarities. I do not think they used the Tau designs for Protoss, though. Tau came out in 2001 or something, but SC came out in the 90's, right? The Protoss were probably influenced by the Eldar more than the Tau. Speaking of WH40K, I am beginning to muster an Eldar army. Joy. |

Oooh yeaaah DoW 2 !!! More Killa Can !!!!! More Blood !!! More green skin !!! DoW 1 was already very good, the game in itself was nothing new, nothing really inovative but the ambiance / atmosphere were great and made the entire game. Multiplayer was great too ! I love Warhammer universe, even played the board game (which is far more expensive than a new computer acutally) but sold everything long ago before beeing more infected. OOoooh well, doesn't mean I won't play SC 2, that universe is still great (fan of Aliens and Predators too) Sad my computer is always the same, I already have much difficulties with C&C 3. I think I will look forward a computer upgrade before looking forward new games... lol

I actually think there is a source for that. There is a possibility that they are moving a bit to the tabletop style. You see, here is the largest army force: 2 HQ (Commanders) 6 Troops 3 Fast Attack 3 Elites 3 Heavy Support It is a possibility that they are going for that, 6 main infantry squad and squad caps for other types. |

Perhaps, i guess there will be no suqads replacement, so if you loose your squad its gone, this way players will be more carefull about their army, not like spammy bastards.

I found DoW to be an odd RTS... I'm waiting for one that has a pushing type gametype/ attrion/ territory (pretty much a sequel to Rise of Nations (GODDAMMIT I WANT IT)!), and DoW never had that... just the typical mass and attack with a funky resource system. The gore was the only great part. I'll still nab the demo. |

HOLY SHITSKIS! That was freaking insane! Really captured the feel of no good in the universe, just shades of grey and black. Who or what was that in the sky? It seemed indistinguishable as to what it was. Chaos? Necrons? Orcs? Edit: Looks like a chaos symbol of undivided. Or even better, a raven. GO TZEENTCH! |

I think its a haze of tyranid spores. + if it was chaos or orks Farseer wouldn't be so worried about it, Eldar would probably leave and let space marines to deal with them. Necrons ? hmmm maybe, but i highly doubt that they will be in game, expansion yes, but game? No, dont think so. |
