Yes, I have decided i will do this even if it kills me (which it might).

This is Solo Legendary everyone.

Any tips from anyone?

Halo 3 on Legendary with two people is laughably easy.

4 people isn't even a challenge.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. ;)

Just remember to use your team mates to flank enemies, call out threats, and if things get too bad, hold one back to have him as a respawn point while the rest charge.

Yep its not hard, but in some places it gets annoying, when you respawn die, respawn die and so on... till all enemies are wasted.

There was a place in the marine bunkers thats PACKED with brutes and on legendary with 2 people it can be a bit tricky.

Isnt that the place when you ride on Warthog in open area, and little bit further there is a way blocked with some wall that is defended by shit loads of snipers ?

Haha. Laughable is an understatement.

The only thing I use my teammates for is to respawn. They're usually too busy stickying each other to fight. :P

If you want a real challenge, turn on the skulls.

Man, somehow i just blew through Tasvo highway section, the 3 main trouble areas i had little to no problem with, maybe a few respawns but nothing headache inducing. Now i gt Cortana and Halo chapters to finish on Heroic, man those are going to be hard, well Cortana will be... I hate that level.

Just (and i mean just) beaten Halo 3 on Heroic. Now i have all summer to attempt Legendary... this is going to be a nightmare.

Tried the first level (not the Arival, well i did but you know) and chirst its a bitch, that inital attack with the grunt and brute is annoying, even dare i say hard.

BUt goddamit i hate the snipers, agh. I'm now where Johnson is being held, and its those damn snipers, agh. I wish my Beam rifle is the previous area hadn't run out on me.

Chuck grenades at them, use the needler against snipers, and grab any brute shots you find and knock them around a bit with it.

Also, don't be afraid to use plas pistols to take out the shields on the snipers.

And for those sniper areas, make sure you got a buddy held back with a carbine to take pot shots at the enemies and to ensure a respawn point.

Acutally, somehow i managed quitewell. Used the Carbine and got headshots on all the major sniper groups.

Now in Crows Nest, I amazed myself in that i had no trouble with the HUGE Brute blockade but have died like 3 times (twice by snipers) when your heading back to take back the Ops center and your faced with tons of plasma turrets and grunts and jackels.

in my opnion, i think that legendary mode relys more on annoyance then a challange.
and yes, i beatin it on legendary with two players.
and thers nothing legendary about it (orther then an achevement point and a killzone helment).

I can say they nerfed our weapons and shields, the enemies can do more damage and take alot more to put down.

Well its pretty legendary for me (1 player).


Oh, I've completed Crows Nest and now i'm at the section of Tsavo Highway (wasn't i just here?) where your faced agaist Jet pack brutes, that annoying Plasma Cannon Brute and a Wraith... Goddammit this part is annoy. thank God they gave me a Sniper Rifle... not useful against a bloody wraith cept to kill the gunner.

man, i had an ass of a time killing the Brute Chieftan in the Ops Center. I would stick the two blue brutes, then take out the grunts, lucky me, i only had 1 clip in my BR and no spare ammo anywhere and a partialy useless shotgun. Turns out after dealing with the grunts, i'd stay at the entrence and it'd be a peek a boo game between me and him, so i decided after about 15 deaths to after killing the guard brutes and grunts to weaken the chieftan, then just jumped above him and put 3 shotgun rounds in him, then went to the storage room below Ops center, grabbed some grenades and a BR (ammo) and chucked a grenade to deal with that mother***ing brute on the plasma turret.

All that for 1 mission.

Man, this is torture... and i still have to deal with 7 more... including Cortana (I have NO CLUE how i will accomplish that).

The trick to Tsavo highway is to grab yourself one of the wraiths before that big battle on the bridge. With it you can take out all of the brutes at your leisure with very little threat to you.

Of course, everything up to that point is rather tough...

What I did when on my own was slap a plasma cannon in the hands of a marine, then got the warthog loaded up (making sure the plasma cannon marine was riding shotgun), and let the marines drive it while I took a chopper. I think the next thing I did was use the chopper to boot up and ram the plasma turret as soon as possible, then hoofed it on foot to try and destroy as many brutes as I can while trying to get my hands on the wraith.

That part took me a few dozen tries.

That seems to be the general theme of Legendary. Pretty much easy most of the way through with an excruciatingly and annoyingly hard part every once in a while.

But seriously, I never knew beating legendary was that big of a deal.

Just remember to give all your heavy weapons to the marines when they become low on ammo.

A scorpion tank with 4 fuel rod gun marines is a frightening sight. :P

I love those hornets. I thought it was plenty epic.

Besides, you get a guass warthog going against that one scarab in the desert level (as well as a few tanks).

Yeah, well with the Hornet all challege is taken away, maybe if it was Banshee then it would more epic... but still, i'd rather fight them on the ground.

Not a fun section at all. But really, i don't know how i'm going to get through Cortana... god that section bothers me even on normal, heroic it was an ass kicker and Legendary... ugh, i don't even want to think about it.
