Well, since we've been talking about great upcoming hits like Doom 4 and Mirror's Edge,
here's another one called "Prototype"

Prototype website

Will come on PC / PS3 and 360

A super villain like game (mostly) but seems really fun and well made with different style of play avaible
like using super powers and destroying / killing everything or a more subtile gameplay, sneaking to transform into other poeple like a general and giving order to military force.

It's really promising, the dev. promise a non linear gameplay, really free (a bit GTA like too) and other cool things.

The storyline is about finding who you are and why you have those powers.

Well, let's see if the promises will be kept and if the game will be as addictive as it seems.

Also, the game will be really bloody ! Could be posted in "why do we like gory games ?" too, lol.

Yup, but take a look at the game, it's really different and seems amazing.

Makes me think of the comic "the Darkness" (which I really like)
Also makes me think of Assassin's creed (the character has some aspects of him)

The story sure sounds interesting. Although the character seems to be similar to Marked One from STALKER, the environment and story is vastly different, if not even more interesting than STALKER's.

Well, I can only talk about STALKER from the screenshots and the tests I've seen actually, so I can't say much about it.

For the story, well, seems some intrigue will be there, but I'm a bit afraid of it.
A guy who has lost his memory... A bit easy!
Those kind of scenario can be really good or really bad... Depends.

Though I don't remember having seen Sierra (or studio owned by Sierra) making a game with a very brilliant storyline, that's why I'm a bit afraid. First impression I have is that we kind of already know what will happen. But who knows? Maybe we will be most surprised by it !lol

Anyway, even if the storyline isn't great in the end, the game in itself seems brilliant and really enjoyable.
I've seen interviews from the devs who said they wandered through New York for hours to take pictures of the streets and reproducing them in game (the result of what I've seen was amazing).

They are even working on a realistic IA of poeple driving / people in the streets... Seems impressive, let's see what it will become in game.

In the end, the result of a peaceful New-York should become with your destructive intervention, a chaotic city.

Seems it will be a big title !amazed

Souls Stream, I doubt the lack of memory part will have too big of an impact on the gameplay and progression. I agree that it sounds easy, it has been done so many times before. System Shock 2 did it in a futuristic way, for example.

For System Shock 2 you had memory of what you did before, didn't you ?
I don't remember exactly the storyline of System Shock 2, I admit.

But anyway, System Shock 2 wasn't made by Sierra...
Sierra always made game with classic Storyline, nothing amazing but nothing really bad either.

Anyway, each time I watch videos of prototype, I'm amazed of the work which has been done (I wouldn't
be surprised if they made a movie about it... Like Bioshock, they are making a movie of it at the moment,
I wonder what it will look like, hope it won't be like the dungeon siege movie which was really weird !dodge )

True, Sierra published the FEAR games, which were heavily inspired by Japanese horror movies, like Ringu.

Actually, I'm waiting for a scenario comics-like, maybe your character who was cloned or captured and experiments made on him.

I understand you, LOL !lol

I love the video when you see the character jumping on a helicopter, killing the pilots and taking their place and finaly using the chopper for himself !lol

With so much violence, I wonder how will it be possible to do sneaking tactics... LOOOL
Or sneaky tactics that will ends in blood bath, lol, can we still call that sneaky?

Yup, I just saw an interview of a dev. and they say you will be able to combine certain power the way you wish and create unique combo.

Your powers will also have "levels" so the development of your character will be bit like a role playing game I guess.

The story finally, will be more interesting that I thought, while absorbing and transforming into poeple you will have their souvenir and that's how the storyline will basicaly advanced (then you will be able to play a good character or a super villain)

The storyline is developped in association with DC comics (seems some comics will come out soon about it)
And promise to go even after the game (wonder what it will be like ?! ) so, they are already planning to create a second game.

Well, that's good a lot of good news I just heard !lol
