Thats right, im trying to buy an xbox 360 elite. My only fear is that it will either "brick" out on me or will become obsolete within a few months. So it was going good till i called a store and they told me that the elite is going for around $500(U.S.)...... and im trying to save for a car right now. any thoughts on which xbox model i should buy or if i should just get a used one online? any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated. My PS3 just isnt cutting it..... |

Just get the Premium if it's still being sold (XD). Mine lasted about 1.25 years before it RROD'd on me. I still need to replace it with MS though... I'm lazy. |

The new ones are apparently much better... Just phone and register once you've bought it, then you're covered. I know on the early models (like mine), they extended the warranty to 3 years if you registered... |

I dunno, but I got the Halo 3 LE version, and everytime I go to a LAN party, I can see everyone hitting their cd trays to open it or getting the occasional Ring, but mine is perfect, like it was just out of the box. I think most of theirs were some of the first releases though. |

The $500 for the elite is what stumps me, once i buy the xbox i'll be buying xbox live, a game, and another controller. that comes out to around $630+........ |
