3 things come to mind: 1: did you overclock your GPU? If not, did you buy it already overclocked form the factoy? 2: Can you change the renderer? For example, can you switch between OpenGL and DirectX rendering 3: Are you monitorint the temperature to check if that could be the cause? 3.5: I'm sorry if it seems like I'm trolling here; I assure you this is not my intent -- I have heard some negative things about ATI drivers when compared to nVidia. I've heard such down-talking from enough sources to make me wonder. I had an interesting experience, for example, with my old ATI card (Radeon 9800 Sapphire), where the newest driver messed up the UT2004 shadows by making a big black square on the ground. Took them a few weeks to get an updated driver to fix that. Did this happen after you upgraded to a new driver? If you do have an outdated driver, maybe the newest one may ahve fixed that. |

no I did Not overclock my Video card. and NO it was NOT overclocked from the factory. I have the latest drivers for my ATI card. I do not know if I can change from OpenGL to DirectX. I will find out soon. |

Have you tried installing older drivers to see if that would fix the problem? |

Try changing different video settings from the game video options. Not shure something will change but worth a try. And one more question, is it a standard map or user made ? |

If you want to check the temperature, try Everest Home Edition. It collects a lot of information about your PC including GPU temperature. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html |

Okay, that seems a bit high, i know the 8800GTX vid is supposed to run around like 80 degrees, but i doubt the CPU or HDD shoudl be that high... might be wrong. |

A processor can operate properly in an environment 90 - 100+°C. This includes GPU, CPU, etc. And guys, if it were overheating, graphical anomalies wouldn't show up on screenshots anyway. Screen capture like print screen or Fraps do not operate like a camera, they depend on the drivers and other software to supply info on what to render onto a screenshot. Pretty much the same concept applies to audio capture. So if there are errors in the result, it is most likely the drivers' fault. A screen dump could potentially display results of overheating though. I'm going to suggest that you either downgrade or upgrade the video drivers, go to ATi's forum and check out what drivers are getting lots of praise. |
