No gain in performance over running it in Vista, but that is too be expected with UT2004 being run through WINE. However, I can do all the cool Beryl/Compiz screen effects while playing. [br][br] |

I don't see how messing up the menu is cool. |

Not cool... fun. I don't care about being cool, which makes me cool, not that it matters either way. Just playing around. Please forgive me. |

you said you are running under wine ? Doesn't the UT2k4's dics have the linux install on it? or was that an older version I'm thinking of...I know one of them had the native linux install on it... |

I know that UT99 has a Linux installation. I never looked into UT2004, though, since I have Windows on my gaming machine. However, native Linux UT04 might me something worth looking into for my laptop, which has a piddly GeForce 7000M chip. Think it might give me better performance than Windows Vista? |

If the support is native, yes, but if real time emulation is needed, then no. |
